Since 3 weeks ago, I sent a series of emails to 95 TRIZ Leaders (of 33 Countries) in the world. They are proposals of volunteer work together as 'World TRIZ Sites Project'. Please help to Build a page of 300 TRIZ Sites in the World

I am writing this message for asking for your consideration, help, and cooperation for the sake of TRIZ.
For these three decades, TRIZ has been proliferated widely in the world to the extent that various activities, achievements, and accumulated knowledge are not viewable easily.
We know that many (global/country-scale) associations, industries, consultants, academic groups, individual persons are making their TRIZ-related works open in their Web sites.
However, the more abundant the works and individual sites grow, the more difficult it becomes recently for people to learn the overall view and to find good works useful for themselves.A solution for releasing such a difficulty is to "Build a page of TRIZ Sites in the World” and to share it among many Web sites and to keep it up-to-date by the cooperation of many of you and your colleagues.

I spent 4 full months for building it (and Links in Japan).
I could not update the page for these nearly 10 years.
If I would try to make this up-to-date at the same level, it would certainly take full one year. And many good sites written in various languages other than English will be missed in the list.Thus may I ask you for your favor?
(a) Could you please join an voluntary project of "Building a page of TRIZ Sites in the World"?
--- This project is now named “World TRIZ Sites Project”,(b) Could you suggest any practical way to carry out such a project at your local level as well as at the global level?
(c) In a number of sites, such a list of TRIZ Links is already posted. So collecting them may be an initial step.
(d) Brief annotation of each TRIZ Site is necessary for people to select links useful for themselves.
Please use the descriptions in my page as samples. Annotation may be detailed or short, depending on the extent, quality, usefulness, etc. of the site. At the end of annotation, please add your initial and the date of annotation.(e) Since 2008, many new sites have emerged and are working actively.
Thus probably, we will make "Extended 300 TRIZ Sites in the World" and also "Selected 50 TRIZ Sites in the World".(f) Expecting to handle such a large number of sites, we will need 3-4 co-editors and 1-2 technical supporting staff in addition to many people who actually visit and describe TRIZ sites.
(g) The scope may not (or should not) be limited to TRIZ in a strict sense. Important sites in various areas around TRIZ may also be collected and be shown in a special section in the page.
(h) The vision behind this project is written in my proposal of

I am receiving positive feedbacks from several TRIZ leaders, with many thanks.
Organizing a cooperative project for Building a page of TRIZ Sites in the World and setting up practical and effective platform and procedures for carrying out the project are the important initial steps at moment.
I am thinking and preparing in the ways described below on a temporary basis and would like to get your suggestions, proposals, and cooperation:(1) Let’s name the project as ‘World TRIZ Sites Project’. Its purpose is to "Build a page of TRIZ Sites in the World” and to share it among many Web sites and to keep it up-to-date by the cooperation of many TRIZ leaders/colleagues. I am willing to take the responsibility of the Project Leader.
(2) The project can be successful only by the voluntary cooperation/dedication by many TRIZ leaders/colleagues who are working busy and actively and located in many different countries. There are 300 (or even more) TRIZ Sites in the world worthy of listing with proper annotation. Thus a lot of communications and draft descriptions will need to be made, and they cannot be handled smoothly by one or few leaders. For making the product page high quality and fair in description, the draft page should be accessible/reviewable by many people, such as project members and original site owners. In this situation, communication by emails and posting in a/few Web sites will not be effective. A network-type organization of active project members may be appropriate. And some groupware system in the cloud is desirable as the project platform, in addition to a number of Web sites of active project members.
(3) I surveyed groupware systems, and found the Bitrix24 system appropriate for our project:

Learning it with its many video introductions, I have started to use it. (If any of you and your colleagues is experienced with Bitrix24, please advise us how to use it effectively.)
Our project account is: World TRIZ Sites Project: https://TRIZSites.bitrix24.com/Our account is completely FREE at moment (without any time limit) accessible to almost all Bitrix24 features, but has the limitation of 1 Admin, 12 Users, and 5 GB Online storage. The number of users is a bottle neck for us.
(For accepting voluntary members to our project, the capacity of several tens of Users is desirable. Bitrix24 offers the Standard Cloud Service, with 5 Admins, Unlimited number of Users, and 100 GB Online storage for 99.00 USD/month. It is desirable to use this Standard service for 1 year (i.e., for 1188.00 USD) and back to the FREE service later. We should appreciate very much if any TRIZ organization(s) would support this cost.)
--- We have already purchased the Standard Cloud Service for 24 months, thus ‘Unlimited number of Project Members’ are acceptable.
(3) As a network-type organization of our Project, I would like to propose as follows:
In each country (and each international organization, each main school in TRIZ) we should have (at least) one Web site which joins the network of our World TRIZ Sites Project. Such local Hub Web sites declare to join the project and to build a (partial) page of Web Sites in the World (at least covering its country (or organization, school)) by getting support of other TRIZ colleagues in its country. The local sites post the (on-going) draft page of Web sites (with annotations) (either publicly or accessible by some limited people), and also send the draft page to the Project platform. Overlapping of TRIZ Sites to be described is all right and rather desirable.
--- This and subsequent paragraphs reflect the situation of only 12 Users. Since we now have a nice and big platform, we can work more effectively together in the platform as Project Members (i.e., not Sites). See Proposals (1B) and (1C).
(4) Using the platform of Bitrix24, twelve (or so) Users (i.e. co-editors) work to handle the information contributed by the local sites and to collaborate to edit the Page of TRIZ Sites in the World. The draft information from the local sites and the edited version of the Page should be documented and posted in the TRIZSites.bitrix24.com. Contributions by local sites and updating of the edited whole page are to be announced regularly (e.g., weekly or biweekly) to all the Project members.
(5) The whole page of TRIZ Sites in the World should be posted in the local Hub Web sites, referring the source (i.e., the Project). The page may be posted in any other Web sites under the condition of citing the source.
(6) It is desirable to keep the whole page up-to-date by the cooperation of the Project members and other TRIZ colleagues. In each country, new TRIZ Sites are advised to report their activities to the local hub sites. Updating the whole page either every year or every other year is desirable.
We should appreciate very much if you would join our ‘World TRIZ Sites Project’ and suggest/propose practical and effective ways of carrying out the project.

Guidelines of Describing TRIZ Sites and Their Lists

Receiving backups by a number of TRIZ leaders/colleagues, I am preparing for starting our World TRIZ Sites Project effectively. Here are some announcements:
(a) Symbol mark of our project is set as you see above in this page.
(b) Our working platform is set at https://TRIZSites.bitrix24.com/ using the Bitrix24 groupware system of Standard Cloud plan, where an unlimited number of users are acceptable.
(c) Documentation system is initialized in the platform, having a hierarchical system of folders, templates and samples of site description, and guidelines for description and opening to public.
(d) Invitation of TRIZ leaders/colleagues and organizing the project on the voluntary basis are under the way.
This document ‘Proposal (1B)’ concerns to (c) Documentation system and explains how to use the Bitrix24 platform together for describing individual TRIZ sites and lists of them. Since we are just at the starting point, the actual documentation system and its guidelines will be revised and extended later.
1. General introduction to Bitrix24 Documentation system.
In the Bitrix24 platform, every user may use My Drive and Company Drive.
My Drive is the storage area belonging to the individual user (or Project Member), and hence we assume that the files in such an area cannot and should not be seen by any other user (if otherwise stated clearly by the owner of the 'My Drive').
Company Drive (i.e., Project Drive) is the area of documents, where we work together and show the resulting documents to other users (or members) and to people publicly. We can set a hierarchical folder system and control the visibility of folders and files. For each file, the update history is recorded automatically and former versions can be restored.
In this environment, we are going to set up 3 Main Folders (Open Public, Project Internal, and Project Drafts) corresponding to the degree of refinement and the visibility of the documents. In each Main Folder, sub-folders are going to be set depending mostly on the group structure of our collaborative work.
Templates and Samples of typical files (e.g., File of individual site, List of sites in a country/region, etc.) are shown and improved/extended whenever necessary.
Procedures of drafting, updating, reviewing, approving, publicizing, etc. need to be considered, without formality as a voluntary organization; such procedures are mentioned in this document (1B) roughly, and will be proposed later in relation to the organization of the team in Proposal (1C) .2. Documents in the ‘Project Draft’ Main Folder
Any document file should first come in (some suitable sub-folder of) this ‘Project Draft’ Main Folder at the stage of Draft. And the draft file should be exposed to ‘Group members’ (e.g., the Project Members of the country) and brushed up (keeping the same file name, and storing the update history). Then the file which is brushed up to some appropriate level are to be copied into the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder without changing the file name.
For easier handling and update management, sub-folders are specified corresponding to each country (or some appropriate category). Project member(s) of the country (or the category) are cooperatively responsible for making and brushing up the descriptions of individual sites and a list of such sites. It may be a good idea for the Project member(s) to ask individual site owner/editor for a help to make initial draft of the site.
Templates and Samples for describing the sites and the list of sites are to be shown in the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder (See Section 7). Naming scheme of the files (of individual site and of list of sites) are specified in Section 6.
3. Documents in the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder
Documents in this Main Folder are exposed to all the Project Members but cannot be seen by outside people.
Any Project Member is encouraged and allowed to make comments on any document in this Main Folder. Project Members of the country (or category) of the document have the first responsibility for further improving the documents. Qualified Project Members (who are to be assigned later) have the second responsibility for further improving the documents belonging to their Region (i.e., group of countries) and are allowed to update the documents (leaving the document history).
--- ‘Qualified Project Members’ here are later renamed and specified as ‘Region Editors’. See Proposal (1C).
The document files thus appropriately refined are copied into the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder for publicizing the documents as the (interim or final) results of the present project. The decision of publicizing will be made cooperatively by the Qualified Project Members of the Region and Co-editors (who are to be assigned later).
4. Documents in the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder
All the documents in this Main Folder are to be made public without limitation.
By showing the URL to this ‘Open Public’ Main Folder, any people (outside of the Project) may access, read, and download all the files inside this Main Folder. (The special URL will be shown later.) However, we should better keep the copyrights of the documents, and hence people not belonging to the Project should not be allowed to re-post the downloaded files in their sites with/without change of the contents.
Project Members, on the other hand, will be allowed to download the files in this ‘Open Public’ Main Folder and re post them for making them publicly accessible.
The full documents are to be copied to some public Web sites (including “TRIZ Home Page in Japan”).
Depending on the choice by Project Member, some part of the documents (e.g., lists of sites without full description of individual sites, lists of sites (with/without site description) of selected countries (or languages), and lists of selected sites (with/without site description), etc.) may be re posted in their Web site. And such part of documents may be shown after translation into their own language.
In any of these cases of re posting, reference and acknowledgement must be made to the “World TRIZ Site Project”, and notes of any applied change should be stated.
5. Naming Scheme of Document Files
Two types of document files are to be made by Project Members:
(a) File describing an individual TRIZ site:

--- Africa is moved to Region H (from Region E).
--- Region M is set to include various areas around TRIZ, and the categorization of such areas are to be considered later.[Site Number in 2 digits] should be assigned to the site in each country (or category). (Describe as 01, 02, etc. instead of 1, 2, etc., for better automatic arrangement of files in the order of numbering in the storage.) This number is assigned to each site as its (arbitrary) proper number and remains without change throughout this Project. In the List of Sites, the sites may be arranged in some suitable manner without depending on the numbering. (It may be desirable to review and reassign the numbering at some early stage when most of sites in a country are listed (even without Site descriptions).
Please note that the file names are going to be used consistently throughout in the 3 Main Folders. Thus information such as name of the writer and date of creation/update should not be included in the file names. After uploading the draft files from your PC, the files may be renamed inside the Bitrix24 platform so as to much the naming scheme of the Project.
6. Structure of Sub-Folders
Sub-folders related to the files of individual sites and of lists of sites are to be set in the following way:
The structure of sub-folders and files are designed in the following way, exactly same in the 3 Main Folders. Since all the documents to be publicized in the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder must be drafted (in the ‘Project Draft’ Main Folder) and reviewed and revised (in the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder), it is practical and safe to have them in the same and consistent structures in the 3 Main Folders. (Rev. Nov. 30, 2017 TN)
This sub-folder system is designed for easier handling and update management of the files. Each Project Member mostly works in one sub-folder, i.e., the Country sub-folder in the ‘Project Draft’ Main Folder (and also in ‘Project Internal’ Sub Folder). Each Region Editor responsible for refining all the files of a Region will mostly work in one sub-folder, i.e., the Region sub-folder, and its ListSites file. Each Global Co-editor will mostly work in Global sub-folder in the 3 Main Folders.
These sub-folders and the files inside them are arranged systematically in the alphabetical order by virtue of their naming scheme.
Nevertheless, the user interface of Bitrix24 is not so suitable to handle a large number of files in a folder, because taking a glance of a list of many files is not easy. Please be patient.7. Description of Individual Site
Template of describing an individual site, and some Samples of description are stored in the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder.
The description is set in a tabular format, where most of the cells may be described freely so as to explain the site in their own suitable manners.

8. Description of List of Sites
Template of the List of Sites files is shown in the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder, and some Samples of List of Sites are also shown in the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder.
The template is a simple table listing many sites by quoting the mandatory information described in individual Site files.

This table intends primarily to be a tool for managing to build the information of useful TRIZ sites as much as possible. Please try to improve/extend the table for smoother management of Site files.
For showing the Project results, Lists of Sites should better be shown in a more readable, well-designed format using the information in this table. Such Lists can serve as the abstract/brief version of the (part of) World TRIZ Sites.
Pages of sites containing the whole information of individual sites may also be necessary. Such pages will be made in various forms by you, I hope.
In such a list, the Sites should be shown in some order rearranged in a meaningful way.
I wish this guideline of our document system be practical and effective. In the course of actual operation, please suggest improvements of usage and the guideline.
We eagerly wish that our ‘World TRIZ Sites Project’ achieve the goal smoothly by virtue of voluntary cooperation with you all.

Organizing the Project Team

Preparation for our ‘World TRIZ Sites Project’ is under the way step by step. I have received several more positive responses.
Our Symbol Mark is slightly revised as shown above. And a Banner of our Project is also designed as shown above, for a smaller flat space as required in the Bitrix24 site.
The present document (1C) is the proposal for organizing our Project Team, at the philosophy level. Our philosophy of team organization has been mentioned already in the Proposal (1) and (1B), and is clarified some more in this Proposal (1C).
1. Basic Philosophy of Our Team Organization
Some of our basic philosophy may be stated as:
(a) This is a voluntary project for ‘Building a page of TRIZ Sites in the World’ for the purpose of wider and better proliferation of TRIZ and related methodologies.
(b) For such a goal, we wish to collaborate together in the international scale, with fully using Internet facilities. Together! Connected!!
(c) Since we believe our voluntary members work with high quality and sincerity, we will set guidelines in the Project operation without too-much formality.
(d) Our Team organization should match to the expected structure of our output documents.
(e) This Project works on a not-for-profit basis.
2. Basic Structures of the Project Team and of the Document System
Corresponding to our philosophy (d), the basic structure of our Project Team is formed to match the structure of our Document system. Figure 1 shows such a relation clearly:
This figure primarily shows the Structure of our Document System explained in Proposal (1B). We have 3 Main Folders, i.e. (from bottom to top) ‘Project Draft’, ‘Project Internal’, and ‘Open Public’ Main Folders. In each Main Folder, the documents are stored in sub-folders which are assigned to individual countries, Regions, or the whole world. At the country level, we store basic files of a number of Site Description and a List of Sites. While keeping the structure and file names of such a set of basic document files, the contents of files are extended and refined. The document files proceed stepwise from the Draft level to Project Internal review level, and to Open Public level.
Project Members are illustrated with red circles in the Figure. They are organized in three levels.
At the base level, (all) the Project Members work to prepare the draft files for each country (in the ‘Project Draft’ Main Folder) and to send them (by copying) to the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder. (For preparing the Draft files, we may ask some people outside our Project (such as individual Site owners) for their voluntary contribution. We may often have multiple members in a country; then we expect their cooperation in preparing the files and in sending them to the next Main Folder. (In some cases, having 3 or more members in a country, we should better choose one or two members (to be called ‘Country Editors’), who are representative for the country members.)
At the next level, we need to have Project Members who work to coordinate, review, and refine the documents (in the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder) in each Region (with the scope across the countries), and to decide to send the documents to the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder. We call such Members as Regional Editors.
And at the final level, we need to have several Members who work to operate the Documents at the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder. We call them Global Co-editors (including Project Leader). They are responsible together for guiding the whole ‘World TRIZ Sites Project’.
3. Invitation, Volunteering, and Becoming a Project Member
Invitation to join this ‘World TRIZ Sites Project’ as a Project Member will be done in two steps.
First, Project Leader is going to send official Invitations to nearly 100 TRIZ leaders in the world by using the Bitrix24 system. Positive replies of voluntarily joining the Project will be accepted automatically in our TRIZSites.bitrix24.com site. This forms the base of our Project Team and serves to set up our platform, reflecting any suggestions from them.
Then the start of our Project is going to be announced publicly, through various Web sites of the Project Members. In the announcement, we would like to ask many TRIZ leaders/colleagues in general for their voluntary cooperation, either as a Project Member or as a Contributor outside the Project. In this step, persons who are volunteering to join our Project will be accepted one by one as a Project Member, after simple reviewing of their experiences. Contributors, on the other hand, are not included as Project Members (being not allowed to use our Bitrix24 platform). Their contributions of drafts describing (some) individual TRIZ sites are to be accepted automatically and processed by appropriate Project Members.
The announcement of asking for the voluntary cooperation, as described in the above paragraph, will remain valid throughout our Project, if not announced otherwise.
4. Assignment of Country Editors, Region Editors, Global Co-editors, and Project Leader
These people will be assigned among the Project Members, on the voluntary bases and mutual selection/consensus, without any formal rules. -
Country Editor(s) of a country should be assigned by mutual selection among the Project Members belonging to the country.
Region Editors of a Region should be assigned on the voluntary basis from the Project Members of the Region. A Region Editor may and may not be a Country Editor of a country in the Region. It is much desirable that countries active and influential in TRIZ send a Region Editor.
Global Co-editors should be assigned on the voluntary basis and after approval by the (existing) Co-editors. A Global Co-editor may and may not be a Region Editor or a Country Editor.
Project Leader should be assigned among the Global Co-editors by their mutual selection. Initially, Toru Nakagawa becomes the Project Leader, as a person who initiated this Project.
Project Leader may ask some Member to serve as Country Editor, Region Editor, or Global Co-editor. And Project Leader approves the assignment/resigning of such persons.Lists of Project Members, Country Editors, Region Editors, Global Co-editors, and Project Leader are to be shown in the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder.
Terms of serving these roles are not set at moment, but it is desirable to reassign them every 2 years.
5. Procedures of Work: Handling and Publicizing Documents
The actual work inside the Project is expected to be carried out voluntarily in a bottom-up manner. The procedures for preparing the document files, refining them, and publicizing them are as usual as roughly described already in Section 2. Three ‘jumping’ steps need to be mentioned some more here.
(a) Contribution of Drafts from outside: Draft description of individual site (or a list of sites) (hopefully written in our Templates) should be sent to an appropriate Project Member via email. Then the Member should either include the draft file in the appropriate country folder in the ‘Internal Draft’ Main Folder or transfer the draft to a Project Member representing the country.
(b) Copying the Draft files into the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder: This process should be decided and carried out by the Country Editor (or ordinary Project Member of a country with no assignment of such Country Editor), without waiting for approval by Region Editor(s). Updates in the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder will be noticed weekly to relevant Region Editors, automatically by the system.
(c) Publicizing documents in the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder: Before this process, the documents to be publicized should be stored in the ‘Project Internal’ Main Folder for a while for the reviewing and refining processes. The decision of publicizing should be proposed by Global Co-editor(s) and approved by the Project Leader (or the Global Co-editor assigned for the relevant area/topic). Actual copying of the documents into the ‘Open Public’ Main Folder should be done by an appropriate Global Co-editor.
Bitrix24 system offers various functions for specifying group structure of users, for assigning the authorization of handling folders/files to individual users or groups, and for specifying and automatizing the work procedures, etc. However, it takes much time to set up (and maintain) the controls of group structure, authorization, and work procedures, etc. Thus, being a voluntary organization, we should better just announce the general rules of work procedures and document handling, without setting up the groups, authorization, and automatic work procedures, etc. in our system. I hope this guideline work smoothly among our Project Members.
6. Initialization of the Project
I am going to send this Proposal (1C) soon to the 95 TRIZ Leaders, whom I sent the series of Proposals (1) (1A) and (1B). Reflecting any feedbacks from them, I am going to set up our Bitrix24 platform some more.
Then, I am planning to send them again the official Invitations to join our ‘World TRIZ Sites Project’ , hopefully sometime next week.
