Special Invited Talk Dr. Jeongho Shin (eTRIZ, Korea)

How to learn TRIZ with ease and fun

Note (Sept. 22, 2012, Program Chairperson: Toru Nakagawa): Dr. Shin's "Invention Song" has new lyrics of 8 TRIZ Inventive Principles on the melody of the 'Do-Re-Mi' Song.  Since it is joyful, Japan TRIZ Symposium decided to invite Dr. Shin to the Special Invited Talk.  However, the Symposium  organizers experienced some difficulty and fluctuation on how to handle the song under the subject of the copyright issue of the new lyrics.
At the stage of Aug. 24 2012, we decided: "Since the Invention Song has not obtained a permission from the copyright owner of the original song, we will not publish the lyrics (in English and in Japanese) of the Invention Song in our Proceedings.  In the Symposium we will sing the new lyrics together on the melody." and we prepared our Proceedings along this line.
On Sept. 4 2012, we received an answer from an lawyer specially experienced on the copyright issue as: "Invention Song is an independent work and hence it does not need to get a permission from the original author of the Do-Re-Mi Song.  Thus publishing the lyrics in the Proceedings is OK.  Singing the new lyrics on the melody of Do-Re-Mi Song in the Symposium is all right, if we obtain the permission of playing the melody (by a payment).  However, audio and video recording of the Invention Song on the melody of Do-Re-Mi Song is not allowed before obtaining a permisson from the D0-Re-Mi Song."

Following this advice, in the Symposium we sang the Invention Song together on the melody f the Do-Re-Mi Song.  And we are going to publish/posting the lyrics of the Invention Song in appropriate cases.

Here we post the lyrics of the Invention Song in Korean, in English (by Shin) and in Japanese (by Nakagawa):
