In the midst of drastic changes and innovations around the world, Japanese industries and technologies are required, for the sake of survival, to much enhance their capabilities.  For the purpose, it is essential to acquire more powerful philosophy, techniques, knowledge-bases, tools, and activities of innovation.  TRIZ has been recognized to be a creative problem solving metodology capable to conduct such innovations.  TRIZ has been introduced and promoted in Japan since 1996, and it currently seems to meet a new phase of penetration.  Thus as a result of year-long preparatory meetings, principal players for TRIZ promotion in Japan have now joined to establish the "Collaborative Board of TRIZ Promoters and Users in Japan" on February 1st, 2005. 

The Collaborative Board is going to conduct a series of activities for penetrating and promoting TRIZ in Japan and wishes to contribute to better life and culture through the activation and innovation of industries in Japan and over the World.  This year, we are going to hold "First TRIZ Symposium in Japan" on Sept. 1 -- 3, 2005 for providing an opportunity for open presentations, discussions, and communications.  We will also prepare for the establishment of the (tentatively-named) "Japan TRIZ Association" in a year or so, having stronger foundation. 

At the start of our "Collaborative Board", we wish to have your support from industries, organizations, and voluntary  individuals.

                        (or abbreviated into "Collaborative Board" or "Japan TRIZ CB")
• Form of organizaton:   A voluntary organization for public and not-for-profit purposes
                      (consisted of voluntary individuals from various organizations relevant to
                            the promotion and usage of TRIZ)

  Aims and Plans of the "Collaborative Board of TRIZ Promoters and Users in Japan"

• The "Collaborative Board" is formed for the purpose of collaborating jointly for penetrating and promoting TRIZ in Japan.
• Voluntary individuals who support the aims of the "Collaborative Board" and are coming from different organizations relevant to penetration and promotion of TRIZ in Japan join here to form a meeting board for carrying out collaborative activities.
• The activities of the "Collaborative Board" are carried out by voluntary wills of its members, and hence any decision by the "Collaborative Board" is not meant to directly constrain any affiliate company/organization of the members.
• The "Collaborative Board" provides with opportunities for open and public activities and communications, such as in the form of symposia, and receives participation of people who are interested in TRIZ (such as users, researchers, teachers, members of public organizations, tool developers and vendors, publishers, consultants, etc.).
• In its first year 2005, the "Collaborative Board" is going to hold "The First TRIZ Symposium in Japan".
• Through preparatory activities for a year or so from now on, the "Collaborative Board" expects to establish the (tentatively-named) "Japan TRIZ Association", which receives individual members and corporate members from industries,  academia, public sectors, etc.
