Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa, Nov. 14, 2012) (updated: Dec. 10, 2012)
MyTRIZ Conference was held on Nov. 6 - 9, 2012 at Penang, Malaysia. It was a very impressive event consisting of Conference, Workshop, and Competition. It was held by MyTRIZ (Malaysia TRIZ Innovation Association), with the support of 2 Government Ministries, MDeC (a national agency in the field of ICT), Intel Malaysia, Univ. Science Malaysia, etc.
A strategic 3-party agreement was made in 2010 among Intel Malysia, Malaysian government, and Malaysian universities: 'Training of TRIZ to university lecturers is to be promoted by university's setting up, Intel's providing with its TRIZ experts without charge, and government's encouragement. Then the lecturers teach TRIZ to students.' On the basis of this strategy, the Competition was carried out with the entree of 27 teams from various universities. MyTRIZ has about 50 members from industry and about 200 from universities.
Conference had interesting invited talks both on industrial promotion/application and on teaching at universities and for children. 6 Keynote speakers were invited from abroad, and TRIZ pioneers in Malaysia gave very good presentations.
Proceedings were not prepared beforehand. When the presentation slides are posted in their Web, I wish to introduce several of the presetations in this site as well.
** Some more details is posted in the Japanese page , which is based of my quick report to the management members of JTS on Nov. 12.
I am posting my Thanks mail to the organizers, to show my thanks and appreciation of the MyTRIZ event.

Thanks mail (Toru Nakagawa, Nov. 13, 2012)
Dear T.S., Eng Hoo, and all the friends,
Thank you very much for your inviting us to the active MyTRIZ event and for your so heartful hospitality to us during our stay in Penang.
I am very much impressed with your active and strategic proliferation of TRIZ in your country, in industries, academia, and ministries, together.
The Competition seems to be very fruitful for your country as the results of your thoughtful preparation.
Conference talks by various people were impressive as well. You have organized them well by inviting not only international gurus but also pioneers in your own country.
T.S.'s presentation is the fresh and best among them.
I have written a brief report and sent it to our management members of Japan TRIZ Society. I am going to post it in my Web site in the Japanese page in a few days.
Could you please post presentation slides of (possibly) all the talks on your Web site? I would like to learn much more from them. People in the world will also learn much from your approach in Malaysia.
Masako and I enjoyed our stay in Penang, with your warm hospitality and friendship. It was a marvelous week for us.
Please forward our thanks to many people of your organizing members and participants.
Hope to see you again in Malaysia or in Japan, or somewhere on the small globe.
Toru and Masako Nakagawa
