Message (Toru Nakagawa, Jan. 9, 2016)
Greetings from Japan for a Happy New Year 2016!! Wish the year be healthy, happy, and successful for you all and peaceful in the World.
It is a tradition in Japan to send post cards for celebrating a new year. In the Japanese page of this site I posted my New Year post card, which I sent to my friends whom I met before my TRIZ days (Note: To those I got acquainted in relation to TRIZ, I do not send post cards, because this Home Page is more useful). Here is the card in Japanese:
Please allow me to address the same message in English translation to you, because I am saying/writing almost the same thing (for months and years).
Happy New Year 2016 !!

Since the retirement of OGU I have been continuing my research and proliferation of 'Creative Problem Solving Methods'. I have introduced the 'Six-Box Scheme' as the new paradigm, proposed the General Methodology of Creative Problem Solving (CrePS), established USIT as a concise process for executing CrePS, and described a number of USIT case studies. I gave a keynote lecture in Hong Kong, and a presentation in Berlin.

For the purpose of extending the application areas of these methods from technology to social and human-related fields, I am trying a new approach. I have learned a tool/method for visualizing the logic of written articles more clearly in diagrams, and am using them. Visualized diagrams of the whole contents of the book "The Low-living Elderly (Karyuu Roujin)" (by Takanori Fujita, Asahi Pocket Book, 2015) are now posted in my Web site "TRIZ Home Page in Japan".

I am fine at the age of 75, with a bit insufficient physical exercises. I wish you all a new year to be healthy, successful, and peaceful. January 1st, 2016 Toru Nakagawa |
