Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa, Oct. 17, 2019)

This paper was presented at ETRIA TFC2019 in Marrakech, Morocco.  The final manuscript was sent to TFC2019 on Jul. 24, 2019 and since then we made much progress in the WTSP project.  I.e., we made preliminary version of World TRIZ sites Basic Index (A) on Aug. 4 ; reported at Japan TRIZ Symposium 2019 on Sept. 5 ; and completed World AROUND-TRIZ sites Basic Index (C) on Sept. 30 .  Thus at TFC2019 on Oct. 10 we could give the WTSP presentation in a much advanced form than the paper in the proceedings, and even than the Japan TRIZ Symposium presentation.  Hence in the present page I am going to post the following materials:

(1)  Abstract of the paper (submitted on Jul. 24) + short note (Oct. 17)

Abstract    (submitted on Jul. 24, 2019)

We started the World TRIZ Sites Project (WTSP) in Dec. 2017 for the purpose of building catalogs of TRIZ-related Web sites in the World.  Getting support by a number of TRZ colleagues, we started the project to achieve by voluntary cooperation of many (hopefully about 100) TRIZ colleagues coming from various countries.  Our basic strategy was to build Country WTSP Catalogs in each country first and then build World WTSP Catalogs by using selected sites.  Japan WTSP Catalog was made and posted in English in Apr. 2018 as an example.  Internet surveys of TRIZ sites located in each country were shown for 33+ countries.  Adding new members at TFC2018, we got over 70 voluntary members from 30+ countries.  But the actual WTSP work in individual countries is proceeding only slowly till recently.

So we started Top-down approaches using Internet surveys in global scale, for TRIZ sites written in several major languages, and for sites around TRIZ by using different keywords in wider scopes.  We also realized the importance of showing concrete images of our World WTSP Catalogs and practical processes for achieving it.  Thus we proposed an 'Ideal image' in the form of WTSP Database System and turned it into a simple and feasible structure.  Our World WTSP Catalogs is made as a small Web site, which has 'Table of sites' (or Index) page(s) and many 'Descriptions of sites' pages, where many hyperlinks flexibly connect individual sites from the Index to the Description.  Japan WTSP Catalog (for people in Japan) was rebuilt into World WTSP Catalog (Japan Part) (for people in the world).  Practical Guide for Teams to build the World WTSP Catalogs is shown with templates and easy processes based on a new strategy "to list up and describe highly recommendable sites only in each country and to build the World WTSP Catalogs as soon as possible".

We are going to report the draft version of World WTSP Catalogs at TFC2019.  Getting Country Editors in every country is the crucial issue.

[Note (TN, Oct. 17, 2019)]  On Aug. 4, 2019, we have completed the First preliminary version of World WTSP Catalogs.  Manuscript documents contributed by Japan, Malaysia, China, and Russian region and two top-down surveys (in the world and in USA) are used.  WTSP Catalog of (A) World TRIZ Sites Basic Index now contains 19 ◎ (Most important) sites and 41 ○ (Important ) sites, which are categorized and arranged in their roles of sites.  Further on Sept. 30, 2019, we have completed the Preliminary version of WTSP Catalog of (C) World AROUND-TRIZ Sites Basic Index.  This is based on 6 top-down Interner surveys of Web sites in the world, with the keywords including Creative thinking method, Problem solving, Quality/value/cost/productivity, Innovation process/strategy, Patent, etc. (without using TRIZ).  We visited 1,008 sites one by one and found ◎ 36 sites, ○ 137 sites, and □ 287 sites (allowing some duplications among the survey cases).  For intgroducing them, we recorded excerpts from their top pages and 'About us' pages.  After removing duplications and inserting some of most important TRIZ sites, the World AROUND-TRIZ Sites Basic Index contains ◎ 34, ○ 128, and □ 13 sites.
It is remarkable that we have established a feasible, scalable and maintenable structure of Catalog documents, a flexible and practical ways of categorizing/rearranging the sites, and a useful top page of showing and handling WTSP Catalogs with various types of indexes, especially the dual pillars of index of TRIZ sites and (wider) AROUND-TRIZ sites.  We are going to revise and improve the WTSP Catalogs further (especially of TRIZ sites) by the collaboration of many TRIZ colleagues in the world.
