Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa, Mar. 27, 2020)

This is the Index Page of the World TRIZ-related Sites Project (WTSP) for announcing its activities and outputs publicly.  WTSP intends to Build Catalogs of Web Sites in TRIZ and related methodologies in the world, by the voluntary cooperation of TRIZ (and related methodologies) Leaders/Colleagues in the world.

Starting the project in Dec. 2017, we have already built the preliminary Oct. 2019 version of World WTSP Catalogs as reported in the ETRIA TFC2019.  The original WTSP Index Page served much for WTSP to 'build' the Catalogs for 2 years, mainly addressing to the Members and Supporters of WTSP.  Since our WTSP project reached a new stage, the role of this Index Page has shifted to:
    (1) Show the WTSP Catalogs to a wide range of users and learners interested in creative/innovative problem solving methodologies, and
    (2) Guide the Leaders/Colleagues of TRIZ-related methodologies to make the WTSP Catalogs more attractive and useful.

Thus I have decided to rebuild this Index Page and its subsidiary pages. Descriptions of how to build the WTSP Catalogs are simplified.   Eliminating various details and trials, the current recommendable ways of building WTSP Catalogs and describing individual sites are shown.  Main points of changes are:
   (a) Some formalities in project organization, document handling, site description, etc. are released to make them more practical.
   (b) Use of Bitrix24 Platform has been stopped.  Ordinary use of Web site ("TRIZ Home Page in Japan"), Word/Excel files, and email communications will be used.
   (c) The preliminary version of the WTSP Catalogs will be used as the good samples for making Catalogs in many subsequent countries.
   (d)  Forming WTSP Teams in individual countries and building Country WTSP Catalogs as parts of the World WTSP Catalogs are the orthodox, bottom-up way for the WTSP Project.  We continue the efforts.  Besides it, we are going to encourage direct submission of close descriptions of sites to the Project Leader.
   (e) We are going to put much emphasis in improving individual site descriptions, to make them attractive and useful.  This is expected to be more practical than making much efforts for collecting many good sites first.
   (f) This Index Page and all of its subsidiary pages (A1) to (A8) have been rebuilt, while those old pages at the state of Mar. 31, 2020 are kept as Archives having the suffix '-OldA' in their file names.

Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa, Apr. 1, 2020)

For easier access by users, a new page "Welcome to WTSP Projects / Catalogs" is built as the entrance page (having the file name: index.html ) accessible with the domain URL: https://www.osaka-gu.ac.jp/php/nakagawa/TRIZ/eTRIZ/eWTSP/

Editorial:  "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" : Postings in LinkedIn 2023 (Toru Nakagawa,)  (Sept. 21, 2023)

This page intends to be a short summary of "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" (especailly English pages), by using (mainly) the articles posted in LinkedIn. I have been posting short articles in LinkedIn more or less regularly every two weeks or so to promote especially the WTSP project towards a much wider audience interested in TRIZ and Innovation. Series of my postings in LinkedIn is accessible openly via https://www.linkedin.com/in/toru-nakagawa-b2453216/recent-activity/all/ .  It now has 14 postings.

WTSP Paper (ETRIA):  WTSP Report (6) Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ Sites in the World (Preparing for Gamma Edition) (Toru Nakagawa, Darrell Mann, Michaael Orloff, Simon Dewulf, Simon Litvin, Valeri Souchkov)  (Sept. 18, 2023)

This paper was presented at ETRIA TFC2023 (held Online at Offennburg Univ. (Germany), on Sept. 12-14).  The paper (17 pages) is published in the Proceeding (by Springer) and accessible through https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-031-42532-5_34 .  We post here the paper in HTML , the presentation slides (15 slides, in HTML and in PDF ) and the presentation video (in MP4, 15 slides, 11m12s)
In the Japanese page , the full paper in Japanese translation is now posted, in respect to the importance of this paper. (Sept. 26, 2023)

The WTSP project has been working to create Catalogs of TRIZ-related Websites in the world. The paper describs its vision/significance/goals and the structure and current version of the Catalogs.  Even though the World Catalogs of Around-TRIZ Websites are already compiled/published reasonably well, the World Catalogs of TRIZ Websites are insufficient due to lack of contributions from many countries.  Our difficulty has been "Many people support the project, but very few of them actually work to build the Catalogs".  An apparent reason is "the talented people in TRIZ are always too busy in their jobs to work voluntarily for WTSP".  The hidden core reason, we have recently found, is that many TRIZ people have not seen the completed Catalogs and hence do not recognize possible Values of the Catalogs and who and how to create such Values.  The Values of the WTSP Catalogs depend on a person's position. For site owners, it is the opportunity to introduce their sites to the world; for TRIZ leaders/experts/practitioners, it is the overview of the (methodical) development and activities of TRIZ (and related methods); for TRIZ users/learners, it is a reliable and comprehensible information source for learning and using TRIZ.   These Values can be created by TRIZ leaders/experts/practitioners (including site owners) all over the world. Based on this recognition, we are going to rebuild the WTSP project to expand and enrich the World Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.  We sincerely ask many TRIZ professionals in the world for their active collaboration.

WTSP Paper (JTS):   WTSP Report (6) Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ Sites in the World: Let's Enhance the Japan WTSP Catalogs "Useful and Attractive" (Toru Nakagawa, Darrell Mann, Michaael Orloff, SImon Dewulf, Simon Litvin, Valeri Souchkov) (Sept. 18, 2023)

We gave this presentation at Japan TRIZ Symposium 2023.  In the Japanese page, we post Abstract, Presentation slides (25 slides, in HTML  and in PDF ), and Presentation video (in MP4, 21 min).  In the English page , we post Abstract and Slides (25 slides, in PDF ).  These 25 slides in English cover some more than the 15 slides presented at ETRIA TFC2023.

The contents are essentially same as those of our TFC2023 presnetation, but addressed to the TRIZ community in Japan.

WTSP Forum:  WTSP Communication Forum 2023 E (Sept. - Oct.) (Editor: Toru Nakagawa)   (Sept. 10; Oct. 9, 2023)

Announcements and Communications related to WTSP Activities are recorded here.
(Sept. 2023): "Preliminary Manuscript of MENA Arabic Region of World WTSP Catalogs" is made open as a Not-yet finished Manuscript (at the Stage 2a) .   Posting in LinkedIn: "World WTSP Catalogs: Information Source to Study TRIZ and Related Methods: Reliable, Useful, and Attractive !! " (TN, Sept. 6, 2023) .  There are various opprotunities for people to encoulter TRIZ, learn it, get capable of it, and expand our scope of it further.  World WTSP Catalogs deliver you the information of many excellent websites that can support you at whatever such opportunities, especially because all the websites are arranged in the categories of Roles of sites. (Sept. 10, 2023)

"WTSP Report (6) Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ Sites in the World" was presented at Japan TRIZ Symposium (Aug. 31, 2023) and at ETRIA TFC (Sept. 14, 2023).  These presentations (Paper, Slides, and Video) are posted in the "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" and are announced in several forms, including (a) Update Announcement of THPJ to Japanese readers (about 200) and to THPJ readers over the world (about 200), (b) [WTSP] Letter to TRIZ leaders and WTSP members over the world (about 200), and (c) LinkedIn posting (open audience).  These announcements are recorded in this Forum page; these preentation and announcement have the same core information but are adjusted differently towards the audiences/recipients. (Sept. 18 - Oct. 3, 2023).
Considering the much wider audience in LinkedIn, I have been posting articles about THPJ and WTSP every 2 weeks or so. A list of my series of LinkedIn postings is made and shown in . (Sept. 21, 2023)

(Jul. 2023): We submitted our Final Paper to ETRIA TFC2023. The paper writes our efforts for overcoming our difficulty: "Many TRIZ colleagues support the WTSP Project, but very few of them actually work to build the World WTSP Catalogs". I have started a new series of postings in LinkedIn.  The first is:" World WTSP Catalogs: Preparation Process and Documents" .  See the PDF file . (Jul. 1, 2023)
Preparation of Taiwan Part is proceeding by Ming-Hung Sung and its Preliminary manuscript is now registered in the Unfinished manuscript folder. A new posting in LinkedIn: "Evaluation of Websites for the World WTSP Catalogs: Delicate but Necessary for Creating the Values of the Catalogs" . This is the most delicate and critical issue in our WTSP project.  Preparation of Sweden and Norway Parts is going to start by Kent Hall (Norway).

(Aug. 2023) A new posting in LinkedIn: "World WTSP Catalogs Accept Diversity of Websites To Get Overall Views of TRIZ from Multiple Perspectives" . Our Catalogs have a general policy to accept the Diversities in TRIZ websites: Diversity of approaches/submethods of TRIZ (reflecting Evolution of TRIZ), Diversity of types/roles of websites (reflecting various acivities of TRIZ), and Diversity of countries and languages of websites (reflecting proliferation of TRIZ).  This policy contributes to collect a full range of TRIZ-related websites for making overall views of TRIZ, and enhances the Usefulness of the World WTSP Catalogs.(Aug. 13, 2023)
The survey results of 15 websites in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) Arabic Region were obtained and contributed by Khaled Shoaib (Egypt), the WTSP MENA Region Editor, on Aug. 28, 2023 . Using his data in a big table in .docx, Nakagawa set up a webpage in the form of Manuscript of MENA Part of World WTSP Catalogs; especially, consisting of (simpler) Index Part and Site Description Part (Sept. 1, 2023) .

WTSP: World WTSP Catalogs: Unfinished Source Data Manuscripts (Index Page) (Toru Nakagawa)   (Jun. 19, 2023)

Before being published in the World WTSP Catalogs, individual manuscripts (e.g., for a country or a SIG) must go through the following 5 Stages:  (1) Initial survey stage, (2) Preliminary manuscript stage, (3) Completed manuscript stage, (4) Published source data stage, (5) Published World Catalog stage.  Stages (1)(2) are carried out by country/SIG teams, while stages (3)(4)(5) are caried out by the Prolject Leader (TN).  Manuscripts at various stages are received by TN from countries/SIGs and are openly posted (or just mentioned) on this WTSP site as a basis of further improvement.
This new page lists such unfinished manuscrpts which are unfinished at Stages (1) to (5) for the purpose of recording without loss/missing, making access easier, and encouraging further preparation/improvement of the manuscripts.
It currently lists:  Internet surveys of 52 individual countries (Stage (1a)), Summary of Internet surveys of 40 countries (Stage (1b)); Preliminary manuscrit of websites in Korea (Stage (2b)), Partial & preliminary manuscripts of websites in Taiwan (Stage (2a)), Revised manuscript of websites in Russian-language region (Stage (3a)), Completed manuscript of websites in UK (Stages (4a)(4b)), Completed manuscript of websites in Germany (Stages (4a)(4b)), Completed revised manuscript of websites in Malaysia (Stage (4b)).

WTSP:  Update of (A2) WTSP Organization and List of Members (Toru Nakagawa)   (Jun. 19, 2023)

The page '(A2) Organization of WTSP' has been updated.  The list of Members includes 94 people from 33 different countries.  About 40 of them have submitted the Membership Application Form, while others have explicitly expressed thier will to join WTSP but have not yet submitted the Application Form,  We have sent our [WTSP] Letters to about 200 people around the world since the start of the project.  So there are many TRIZ leaders and colleagues who are not listed in the table, but who support the WTSP project.  If you want to contribute to the WTSP, please contact the Country Editor of your country or one of other WTSP leaders shown here.

WTSP:  Please Help to Enhance the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Websites in the World (Toru Nakagawa) (LinkedIn)   (Apr. 27, 2023)

"Please Help to Enhance the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Websites in the World: Many Good Websites Are Still Missing in the Catalogs":  We have just submitted our (draft) paper "WTSP Report (6)" to the ETRIA TFC2023.  It is based on the recognition of the (possible) Values of the World WTSP Catalogs, as discussed in my LinkedIn article (Apr.  6, 2023).  Recent activities to build the World TRIZ Sites Catalogs are briefly summarized, by showing the Most Important (◎) TRIZ Websites in the Top figure of this LinkedIn article.  To the 23 sites in the Beta Edition (2020), we have added the 6 new sites shown with stars, but we are still missing several (about 10 ?) excellent sites from the current Catalogs.  We would like youe help to make the World Catalogs of TRIZ Sites more "Useful and Attractive".

WTSP:  Values of the World WTSP Catalogs (Toru Nakagawa) (LinkedIn)   (Apr. 6, 2023)

"Values of the World WTSP Catalogs: for Site Owners, for TRIZ Experts, for TRIZ Users, and for TRIZ. -- Who then Creates the Values?":   Our WTSP project has a persistent difficulty: "Many TRIZ colleagues support the WTSP Project, but very few of them actually work to build the World WTSP Catalogs".  The obvious reason is: "The talented people in TRIZ are always too busy in their business to do extra voluntary work".  But we have recently realized the core of the hidden reasons is: "People do not yet recognize the (possible) Values ("Useful and Attractive") of the World WTSP Catalogs, because they have not yet really seen the Catalogs".  In this short article I discuss the Values from 4 aspects and then on Who and How to create the Values.  The discussion is summarized in the top figure of the LinkedIn article.

WTSP Forum:  WTSP Communication Forum 2023B (Mar. - Apr.) (Editor: Toru Nakagawa)   (Mar. 13; Mar. 22; Apr. 2; apr. 9; Apr. 29, 2023)

Announcements and Communications related to WTSP Activities are recorded here.  In this News page, I will show them just briefly.
Mar. 2023:  Reviewing Min-Gyu Lee's report and my reply (Feb. 19-20), I wrote a short article and post it on LinkedIn.  "Great achievement with TRIZ, but NOT so many great open TRIZ sites in Korea" is Lee's important finding.  And the situations are more or less the same in many countries in the world.  I suggested Lee to evaluate Korean sites more positively (Mar. 15-16).
I sent [WTSP] letter (33C-3) to TRIZ leaders/colleagues of 30 countries individually (Mar. 16-19).   Its purpose is to inform about (A1) Call for Contributions to World WTSP Catalogs and (A2) the LinkedIn article, and also (B) to ask them to form a WTSP Team, to make the manuscript of each Country Part of World WTSP TRIZ Catalogs, and to encourage the site owners to write their site introductions.  Depending on the current data in the World WTSP Catalogs, I adjusted the messages to fit with each country.  --  Responses from various countries are also recorded (Mar. 16-21).  Preliminary Manuscripts are submitted form Taiwan and Malaysia
Apr. 2023:   Basic discussions with Michael Orloff (Global Co-editor) are recorded.  I posted an artilc "Values of the World WTSP Catalogs" on LinkedIn (Apr. 6); See .  Preliminary Manuscript of Taiwan Part was submitted by Ming-Hung Sung (Apr. 10).  I posted an article "To Enhance the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ sites" on LinkedIn (Apr. 27); See .  TRIZ Activities in Malaysia was updated by Eng Hoo Tan (Malaysia) (Apr. 25). .

WTSP:  Call for Contributions to the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites in the World (Gamma Edition, Sept. 2023). Country Manuscripts by Apr. 16. (Toru Nakagawa)   (Jan. 31, 2023)

The Call for Contributions to the WTSP Catalogs was published first as an article on LinkedIn on Jan. 25 (recorded in the Communication Forum (Jan. 2023) ), and then as a detailed and formal article on this WTSP website on Jan. 31 .  The former illustrates the invitation in a compact figure.  The latter has the content:  Preface, 1. General references to the WTSP Project and the WTSP Catalogs, 2. Basic instructions and references for the preparation of any manuscript of WTSP Catalogs, 3.  Contribution of manuscripts of the Country Part to the World WTSP Catalogs, 4. Description of individual website by the site owners, 5. Schedule for the submisssion of manuscripts and completing the new edition.  --- Please form a Team of volunteers in each country and submit manuscripts of Country Parts of World WTSP Catalogs by Apr. 16.  Site owners are invited to write full introductions of their own sites and submit them individually by Jun. 10.  After receiving your contributions, we will present the Gamma Edition of World WTSP Catalogs at ETRIA TFC2023, scheduled for Sept. 12-14, 2023.

WTSP Forum:  Communication Forum for the WTSP Project (Jan. - Feb., 2023): Among WTSP Teams, Members, Readers, etc. together with WTSP Leader and Global Co-editors  (Editor: Toru Nakagawa)   (Jan. 22; Jan. 31; Feb. 8;Feb. 18, 2023)

Jan. 2023:   On Jan. 12, a WTSP Letter was sent from the Project Leader to (about 200) WTSP Members and supporters for announcing the WTSP plan for 2023 .  The goal is to present a WTSP paper at ETRIA TFC2023 (Sept. 12-14, 2023) on the Gamma Edition of World WTSP Catalogs.  For achieving this goal, manuscripts of country parts need to be built in many Countries active in TRIZ by mid-April.  Thus, an urgent request for collaborative work is issued to the TRIZ communities of all countries active in TRIZ.  Requests and instructions issued on Jan. 14 to the TRIZ community in Japan    may be useful as samples for TRIZ communities in other countries.     "Call for Contributions to the World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites" is posted. (Jan. 31)

Feb. 2023:  [WTSP] Letter (33C-2) was sent to 21+4 countries to urge WTSP Team activities as the response to "Call for Contributions".  WTSP Forum:  Communication Forum for the WTSP Project: Among WTSP Teams, Members, Readers, etc. together with WTSP Leader and Global Co-editors. (Aug. - Dec., 2022) (Editor: Toru Nakagawa)   (Jan. 17, 2023)

A large number of communications during Oct. to Dec. 2022 are posted.  They serve as records of WTSP Activities, for the purpose of better understading of the World WTSP Catalogs and the processes for building them, by reading examples made by many other Teams/Site-owners/etc. Please read such communications as the background of the Articles/Presentations/etc. which are posted publicly in the WTSP News and WTSP Websites.  Especially, recent messages from Project Leader to WTSP Country Teams of Italy, France, Taiwan, and Korea may be good instructions to many Teams of other countries.

Full Site Introduction: DE-03 Modern TRIZ Academy Site (Michael Orloff, Germany)   (Dec. 29, 2022)

The website, DE-03 ◎ Modern TRIZ Academy, is now fully introduced by the site owner, Michael Orloff.  In the Germany Part of  the World WTSP Catalogs, the site is described in (b) WTSP Standard Form (1 page in A4)  and also in (c) Close Introduction in a free format (28 pages in A4, in PDF) .  The full introduction of the website is also posted as an independent HTML web page in the e-Papers section of "TRIZ Home Page in Japan".  Roles of the site are: (a1) Dedicated for information sending, (e1) Method developers, (e4) Consultants, (e5) Training organizations,
Michael Orloff describes his personal history of encountering TRIZ in 1963 at the age of 16, participating Invention Machine project, starting a consuting firm in Germany, establishing his own way of simplified/modernized TRIZ, working as consultants/trainers in Korea, China, Egypt, etc., and establishing training courses (especially useful for e-learning and self-training, recently), etc.  In his "Essay", he describes the concepts of his Modern TRIZ with a case study in a clear, structured format.  A full set of textbooks/handbooks of his training course are impressive; his basic textbook is published in 12 different languages.  --- The full introduction of his site is quite new and amasing to me even after 5 years of close collaboration with the author in the World WTSP Project. I recommend you his Full Site Inroduction, "Essay" .

WTSP Catalogs :   Germany Part of the World WTSP Catalogs Has Been Built (Toru Nakagawa) (Dec. 16, 2022)

Manuscript of the Germany WTSP Catalogs has been built and incorporated as the Germany Part of the World WTSP Catalogs.  The raw data of the 4th-round Internet survey of TRIZ Sites located in Germany are used to visit the 68 websites one by one to write brief introductions.  We have found 4 ◎, 4 ○, 8 □, and 3 △ TRIZ Sites, and 5 ○, 8 □, and 4 △ Around-TRIZ Sites from this survey.  The data already posted in the WTSP Catalogs (i.e., 2nd-round survey (TN2A, TN2F) for TRIZ sites and 3rd-round survey (TN3A2, TN3B, TN3C, TN3D, and TN3E) for Around-TRIZ sites) are also used to pick up the Germany sites.

Thus the Germany WTSP Catalogs contain 3 ◎, 6 ○, 7 □, and 3 △ TRIZ Sites and 2 ◎, 7 ○, 18 □, and 6△ Around-TRIZ Sites.  Index Table of all these sites and Site descriptions of them are incorporated as the Germany Part of the World WTSP Catalogs (even though the Index parts of the World Catalogs are not updated yet).
We can learn a lot from all these websites. Especially the ◎ websites are: Modern TRIZ Academy, ETRIA, TriS Europe for TRIZ; and Research Gate, LinkedIn for Around-TRIZ.   There may be many good websites missing in the list.  We wish TRIZ colleagues in Germany to revise and enhance the list of sites and the descriptions of individual sites.

--- Several more countries active in TRIZ are left to have similar Country Catalogs; such as France, Italy, Taiwan, South Korea, ... In such countries, many websites are written in their non-English languages, and hence it will be difficult for a foreigner like me to build WTSP Catalogs of such countries, even with the help of translation software. Visiting and writing introductory notes of individual sites (in English) are the most basic jobs expected for TRIZ colleagues in each country; I will be ready to collaborate with you to brush your manuscripts up into Country WTSP Catalogs.

This paper was presented at ETRIA TFC2022 (held at Warsaw Tech. Univ. and Online, on Sept. 27-29).  The paper (15 pages) is published in the Proceeding (by Springer) and accessible through https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-031-17288-5_37 .  We post here the presentation slides (13 slides, in HTML and in PDF ) and the presentation video (in MP4, 13 slides, 9m55s) .  In Japanese, this paper is just refered in the page of Presentation at Japan TRIZ Symposium 2022 .

This paper reports (1) The aims of WTSP Catalogs and Evaluation criteria of websites, (2) Ways of website description and Structure of the World WTSP Catalogs, (3) Current Outputs of World WTSP Catalogs (thorough survey results of Around-TRIZ sites, but insufficient outputs of TRIZ sites due to missing of manuscripts from many countries active in TRIZ), and (4) Concluding remarks (especially mentioning the need of new website representative in TRIZ).  Discussions on reviewers' comments and questions are included in the paper.

WTSP Paper (JTS):   WTSP World TRIZ Sites / Around-TRIZ Sites Catalogs (5) Useful & Attractive Information Source -- Use Actively and Improve Them Further (Toru Nakagawa, Darrell Mann, Michaael Orloff, SImon Dewulf, Simon Litvin, Valeri Souchkov) (Sept. 30, 2022)

We gave this presentation at Japan TRIZ Symposium 2022.  In the Japanese page, we post Abstract, Presentation slides (26 slides, in HTML  and in PDF ), and Presentation video (in MP4, 19 min).  In the English page , we post Abstract and Slides (26 slides, in PDF ).  These 26 slides in English cover some more than the 13 slides presented at ETRIA TFC2022.

Proposal of "SI-Review" Website:  Proposal of Establishing a New Website Representative in TRIZ and Related Methodologies in the World (Toru Nakagawa and WTSP Global Co-editors) (Aug. 24, Sept. 16; Oct. 14, 2022)

As a result of the WTSP Project for these 5 years, we have found: "In the TRIZ community there are a number of international associations/conferences and many good websites operated by individual consulting firms and academic groups, but there exists no 'representative' place where good TRIZ works are coming from various groups in the world to be published regularly." And having discussed the issue among the WTSP Global Co-editors, we have decided a Proposal: "Let's create a new website Representative in TRIZ and related methodologies, where excellent papers/articles on various approaches come together from various groups in the world to be published regularly."  This vision is achievable only by some solid international and interdesciplinary collaboration, but today there exist no common place to propose and discuss such an issue.  Thus Toru Nakagawa and WTSP Global Co-editors has determined to promote it on a voluntary basis in the initial stage.  We temporarily name the expected new site as "Systematic Innovation Review (or SI-Review, in short)" (Website).  We naturally expect the SI-Review Project is much larger and difficult than WTSP. So we started its website, inside this "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" as a subsite of WTSP: https://www.osaka-gu.ac.jp/php/nakagawa/TRIZ/eTRIZ/eWTSP/eSIReview/ .  There we now have Index page, Proposal page, Slides & Introduction page, Discussion page, etc.  All the information related to the SI-Review Proposal/Project will be posted there. -- In this WTSP site, let's do our best to build and improve the World WTSP Catalogs further.  -- We have the common slogan:  Let's work Together ! Connected !!

WTSP Catalogs :   World WTSP Catalogs of (C) Around-TRIZ Sites Are Enhanced (Toru Nakagawa) (Aug. 17, 2022)

Revision and enhancement of the (C) WTSP World Catalogs of Around-TRIZ sites have been completed.  With the re-investigation of the Internet surveys TN3A2, TN3B, TN3C, TN3D, and TN3E, the Indexes (C1)(C2) and the Catalogs for Print (C1P)(C2P) are fully revised.  And the (C3) World Around-TRIZ Extended Index has been newly built which may access to the site descriptions in their original survey files of the TN3 series.   See the table below.

WTSP Catalogs :   UK Part of the World WTSP Catalogs Has Been Built as an Example of Country WTSP Catalogs (Toru Nakagawa) (Mar. 2, 2022)

Manuscript of the UK WTSP Catalogs has been built and incorporated as the UK Part of the World WTSP Catalogs.  The raw data of the 4th-round Internet survey of TRIZ Sites located in the United Kingdom are used to visit the 39 websites one by one to write brief introductions.  We have found 5 ◎, 1 ○, 8 □, and 1 △ TRIZ Sites, and 2 ◎, 3 ○, 6 □, and 3 △ Around-TRIZ Sites from this survey.  The data already posted in the WTSP Catalogs (i.e., 2nd-round survey (TN2A, TN2F) for TRIZ sites and 3rd-round survey (TN3A2, TN3B, TN3C, TN3D, and TN3E) for Around-TRIZ sites) are also used to pick up the UK sites.  Thus the UK WTSP Catalogs contain 6 ◎, 5 ○, 9 □, and 1 △ TRIZ Sites and 4 ◎, 13 ○, 31 □, and 3 △ Around-TRIZ Sites.  Index Table of all these sites and Site descriptions of them are incorporated as the UK Part of the World WTSP Catalogs (even though the Index part of the World Catalogs are not updated yet).  We wish TRIZ colleagues in UK to revise and enhance the list of sites and the descriptions of individual sites.
We can learn a lot from all these websites. Especially the ◎ websites are: The TRIZ Journal, Systematic Innovation Inc., Oxford Creativity. CORE for TRIZ; and Project Smart, Managing Innovation (John Bessant), My Mooc, Science Direct for Around-TRIZ.  [There may be many good websites missing in the list.  I notice Bio-TRIZ site (◎) is a case of missing. ]

WTSP Catalogs Introduction:   Introduction to World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites and Around-TRIZ Sites (Toru Nakagawa) (Jan. 24, 2022)

This is an Introduction for ordinary users without assuming any knowledge about WTSP or its Catalogs.  Originally written in 23 slides and posted in HTML and in PDF.  Here is its Abstract:

(1) Catalogs of TRIZ-related Websites in the World have been developed by a volunteer-based international project WTSP.
(2) The Catalogs are now available publicly without charge both for  interactive use at the WTSP site and for downloading, printing, and interactive use at user's PC.
(3) The Catalogs cover various websites in the fields of TRIZ (including modernized TRIZ) and around-TRIZ more widely (i.e., creative problem solving in general, including quality/value/project management, IP, etc.).
(4) Various websites dedicated for the roles of information sending, research, development, promotion, publishing, etc. of such TRIZ-related methodologies are collected.
(5) Websites are found more useful as units of information resources than (smaller) webpages, papers, patents, etc. and (larger) journals, conferences, books, etc., because they are kept updated for many years with unity/quality/scope of information by some group or organization, in openly accessible forms.
(6) Individual websites are introduced briefly by surveyors/recommenders, and in one-page standard form and (optionally) much longer by the website owners.
(7) Websites are evaluated in respect to their quality/usefulness/attractiveness/ accessibility/scopes/etc. and shown in 5 grades (◎○□ for world level, △ for country level, and -).
(8) Current World WTSP Catalogs (Beta Edition)  list 23 ◎  and 39 ○ websites in TRIZ while 33 ◎  and 127 ○ websites around TRIZ.
(9) We are working further to make our WTSP Catalogs more useful and attractive for users as well as professionals by voluntary cooperation of many colleagues in the world.
(10) Let's work Together ! Connected !!

You may use the Catalogs interactively at the WTSP website, or download the Catalogs for Print (in PDF) and print them or use them interactively on your own PC just as on the WTSP website.  You can operate the Catalogs easily, because the catalogs are simply tables of websites having hyperlinks to the description of those sites.

WTSP :  (A9) Introductions of the World WTSP Catalogs for Users (Jan. 24, 2022)

A new page has been started just under the WTSP Index page.  It is the entrance page for users to learn and enjoy using the World WTSP Catalogs.   See the Introduction (Jan. 24, 2022)

  (B5) WTSP News 2021

WTSP :  Current Status of the Survey Results of WTSP World TRIZ Sites (Toru Nakagawa) (Nov. 20, 2021)

This page shows the summary of results of the 4th-round Internet Surveys of TRIZ Sites in Individual Countries on which I worked for these 7 months since May 2021.  It covers 52 countries and 3 language groups.  The raw results are shown in individual HTML pages under the parent page .  An Excel file of the data in a summary form is posted there (Nov. 17, 2021).

Here, the 'selected TRIZ sites (◎○□△)' of individual countries in the world are gathered and shown in a new HTML page and a PDF file .  Adding short notes of the data for the countries already shown in the Beta Edition, the Current Status of the Survey Results of WTSP World TRIZ Catalog is posted here.  This gives an overview of TRIZ deployment in the whole world.
Editor's Note PS writes some notes for reading/using the present data and for making WTSP Catalogs more Attractive and Useful with the voluntary collaboration of many TRIZ leaders/colleagues in the world.  In addition, my personal impressions of the overview on the global deployment of TRIZ are shown.

This page posts our WTSP paper presented at ETRIA TFC2021, which was held on Sept. 22 - 24, 2021 online by the organization of Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy.
(A) Slidess/video: The Conference requested pre-recorded video presentations for only 5 minutes (+ー30 seconds).   Such a compact format fits well for our "WTSP Appeal 2021" we were planning to call by the six Global Co-editors.  So we prepared a presentation of 8 slides with video record for 5 minutes 29 seconds.  The slides are shown here in HTML   and in PDF , and the video is also posted here .  Japanese translation will be posted later.  (Note:  The 22 slides in English presented at Japan TRIZ Symposium 2021 may be of some help for you English readers.)
(B) Paper:  We submitted our paper manuscript of 10 pages on Apr. 29, 2021 and slightly revised version after the review on Jun. 29, 2021.  The paper has been published in the Conference Proceedings of Practioner Papers (in the form of a special issue of Acta Technica Napocensis of Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania).  The paper is shown here in HTML and in PDF (Note (Sept. 29, 2021): The PDF file in the Proceedings has been corrected by TFC2021:  1626-2813-1-SM.pdf ==> 1626-2813-2-PB.pdf . )

This paper was presented at Japan TRIZ Symposium 2021, held Online on Sept. 2-3, 2021.  Since the Symposium was not held last year 2020 becasuse of the COVID-19 pandemic, this presentation covers our WTSP activities and results for these two years.  Besides the slides and video in Japanese, the sildes in English (displayed and published in the Symposium) are posted here in HTML and in PDF .  22 slides in English may be useful for English readers as more detailed information complementng the shortage of the 8 slides in the ETRIA TFC2021.

WTSP:  Mission and Philosophy of the WTSP Project (Aug. 2021)  (Toru Nakagawa) (Aug. 16, 2021) (Aug. 18, 2021)

Being triggeed by recent discussions inside the Global Co-editors, "Mission and Philosophy of the WTSP Project" has been written down in full length on the basis of our activities and results for these nearly 4 years, and added in our main page '(A1) Policies' (See also in PDF ) (Aig.16, 2021).  Japanese translation is made in a new page '(A1) Policies, Mision, and Philosophy' (Aug. 18, 2021)
     (1) Mission of WTSP and the Nature of World WTSP Catalogs,  (2) Collection and Evaluation of Websites to be included in the WTSP Catalogs, (3) Description of Introductions of Individual Websites, (4) Finding Websites of Interest in the WTSP Catalogs, (5) Some More Issues for Discussions (Basic Choice of Philosophy: 'Commercial' or 'Altruistic'; Competition, Rivalry, 'Capitalistic market', and 'Competition & Cooperation';  Inactive attitudes of many website owners toward posting in the WTSP Catalogs)

WTSP Paper:  Websites of Wide Range of Methodologies for Creative Problem Solving:  Development of World Catalogs of Them (WTSP Project) (Toru Nakagawa, Darrell Mann, Michael Orloff, Simon Dewulf, Simon Litvin, Valeri Souchkov) (May 31, 2021)

This paper reports on the 'World TRIZ-related Sites Project (WTSP)', describing its activities, results, and further directions systematically. We are going to build World Catalogs of Websites in the fields of various methodologies for creative problem solving including TRIZ.  One of our new insights is the adoption of Websites as the unit of information resources, rather than papers or Web pages.  We are going to collect and introduce Websites, valuable in scientific and practical aspects in such a wide area.  In these 3 years, our project has built and publicized the 'World WTSP Catalogs' in the Beta Edition, while establishing a scalable system structure and practical building processes.
Table of contents: 1. Introduction: Aims of the WTSP project; 2.  Construction and results of Japan WTSP Catalog; 3.  Construction and results of the World WTSP Catalogs; 4.  Practical Guide for preparing manuscripts of World Catalogs; 5.  Concluding: Evaluation, Difficulties and Future Work

This paper (16 pages) is an enhanced version of of the Proceedings paper (8 pages), presented at the 42nd Conference of Japan Creativity Society (held Online in Tokyo, Oct. 31-Nov.11, 2020).  We submitted this to the Journal of JCS on Dec. 21, 2020.  However, JCS rejected this paper for publication, with reviewers' comments saying no new concepts, no final results, not a paper but a report or manual, no validation, etc. and concluding not an academic paper to be published in JJCS.  The processes and my Claims/Answers are recorded (in Japanese) in the PS of Editor's Note (TN) and in the subsidiary page . -- Under these situations, we have decided to publicize the present paper here in "TRIZ Home Page in Japan", in the original form submitted on Feb. 9, 2021.

 WTSP:  Internet Surveys (4th round) of TRIZ Sites in Individual Countries ==> 52 Countries + 3 Language groups (Nov. 20, 2021) (Toru Nakagawa) (May 8; May 15; May 23; May 26; Jun. 5; Jun. 17; Jun. 24; Jul. 16; Jul. 22; Aug. 5; Aug. 30; Sept. 13; Oct. 7; Nov. 17; Nov 20, 2021)

This year we are going to enhance the Beta Edition of the World WTSP Catalogs by (1) Getting attractive and useful introductions of individual websites written by site owners and (2) Getting manuscripts of Country WTSP Catalogs by collaborative team work in various countries. For supporting these bottom-up activities, we have started to (3) Carry out top-down Internet surveys in various individual countries.  After some trials, I use Yahoo (rather than Google) with the keyword = TRIZ OR 'Systematic Innovation'.   The survey method and after-processes are described in .
The results are shown for
UK (39 sites) and Italy (50 sites) .  Many more countries will follow step by step.
The survey results may be helpful for the orthodox bottom-up activities (1) and (2) in each country.
In some cases, survey is carried out by specifying a language (e.g., Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese) without specifying any country for covering a number of countries at one time. (Jul. 16, 2021)

A month ago I found the way to specify any individual country as the site location in the Internet Search, particularly with Yahoo!Japan search engine.  Thus I started the search for TRIZ-related sites in Israel, India, Mexico, etc., in which countries I could not carry out the surveys before.  (Aug. 30, 2021)

New results:  UK (39 sites) , Italy (50 sites) (May 8, 2021); Germany (68 sites) , France (55 sites) (May 15, 2021); Poland (50 sites) , Australia (23 sites) (May 23, 2021); Netherlands (33 sites)  , Finland (21 sites) , Korea (72 sites)   (Jun. 5, 2021); Canada (30 sites) , Taiwan  (45 sites) , Thailand (31 sites)  (Jun. 17, 2021); Belgium  (22 sites) , Sweden (19 sites)  (Jun. 24, 2021);  Iran (64 sites) , Arabic language (22 sites) , Spanish language (57 sites) , Portuguese language (45 sites)  (Jul. 16, 2021); Turkey (27 sites)  , Austria (26 sites)  , Switzerland (21 sites)  , Czech Republic (24 sites)  , Denmark (14 sites)  , Norway (4 sites) (Aug. 5, 2021); Israel (24 sites), India (45 sites)  , Mexico (23 sites) (Aug. 30, 2021); Spain (27 sites) , Portugal (15 sites) , Ireland (11 sites) , Greece (8 sites) , Hungary (13 sites) , Romania (9 sites) , New Zealand (7 sites) (Sept. 13, 2021); Pakistan (11 sites) , Sri Lanka (6 sites) , Bangladesh (3 sites) , Vietnam (24 sites) , Singapore (15 sites) , Philippines (11 sites) , Hong Kong (16 sites) , Indonesia (37 sites) (Oct. 7, 2021);  Argentina (10) , Peru (13) , Chile (12) , Colombia (19) , Bolivia (6) , Uruguay (7) , Brazil (41), Costa Rica (12) , Nicaragua (6) , Morocco (13) , Egypt (8) , South Africa (9) , Kenya (6) (Nov. 17, 2021)

See some draft documents at the initial steps for making Country WTSP Catalogs in Poland .  Sharing drafts is an essential measure for activating the collaboration in the team and around. (May 26, 2021)

The list of WTSP Members (and Members-to-be) is updated in the WTSP (A2) Organization page We wish you to form  a WTSP Team in your own country and to work  for building each Country Part of the World WTSP Catalogs. (Jul. 22, 2021)

Posting the results of 13 new countries, the 4th-round Surveys are finished.  Summaries of the 'selected TRIZ sites (◎○□△) of individual countries are gathered in an Excel file . (Nov. 17, 2021)
A new HTML page is made to show the overview of the Current Status of Surveys of TRIZ Sites in individual countries, together with the brief note on the countries published in the Beta Edition of the WTSP World TRIZ Sites Catalog. (Nov. 20, 2021)

WTSP:  Site Introduction: GEN TRIZ, LLC (USA, TN2F-07, ◎), with a paper "TRIZ Challenges and Approaches to Address Them" (Simon Litvin) (April 18, 2021)

GEN TRIZ, LLC is a leading TRIZ Consultancy, Solution/Method provider, and Training organization, and is led by 3 TRIZ Masters (Simon Litvin, Alex Lyubomirskiy, and Oleg Abramov).  Site Introduction has been contributed to the WTSP Catalogs in the standard form.  For a closer introduction, a presentation paper "TRIZ Challenges and Approaches to Address Them" (by Simon Litvin, presented at MATRIZ MeetUp on 'TRIZ Promotion in the World', on Mar. 23-24, 2021) has been posted in "TRIZ Home Page in Japan".  Their basic understanding and philosophy/strategy are clearly stated in their slides. They operate 'Global Knowledge Network' connecting 8000 experts in 42 countries, to support for Open Innovations among clients.  Various methods of modernized TRIZ are introduced, together with a case study.

WTSP: WTSP Mails and Letters: Feb. - Mar. 2021 (Toru Nakagawa, Nikolay Shpakovsky (Russia), Simon Litvin (USA), Michael Orloff (Germany), Christian Spraefico (Italy), Michal Halas (Poland), Joanna Majchrzak (Poland)) (Mar. 24, 2021)

This is a record of the on-going discussion inside the WTSP project, especially among the WTSP Global Co-editors (i.e., Toru Nakagawa, Darrell Mann, Michael Orloff, Simon Dewulf, Simon Litvin, and Valeri Souchkov).  On Feb. 23, I submitted the Abstract of our WTSP presentation to ETRIA TFC2016, and in my email to the Global Co-editors I reported the current situations of WTSP and asked their help to overcome our difficulties of very little progress since last October.  Simon Litvin informed us, on Mar. 2, of the voices of his partners located in many different countries, saying "WTSP obviously is not very popular in the TRIZ community, mostly because TRIZ entities (or TRIZ providers) do not find the merits of introducing their websites in the WTSP Catalogs".  I responded on Mar. 4 and Mar. 6 from various aspects.  My main point is: "WTSP Catalogs are principally for TRIZ users (and then for TRIZ specialists).  The better we serve for the users by building WTSP Catalogs containing selected good websites with attractive and useful site introductions, the more we, TRIZ providers, get access from users and partners."   We wish to get collaboration by many of you, TRIZ (and relevant methodologies) specialists ans users.

During these months, January through March, I was working (in parallel to WTSP) for the Japanese translation of Darrell Mann's book "Innovation Capability Maturity Model (ICMM)" (2012), and posted its full texts in my website "TRIZ Home Page in Japan".  Its essence can be seen in my posting in LinkedIn, as recorded at the bottom of this page .

WTSP: Plan and Abstract of our Presentation at ETRIA TFC2021 (Toru Nakagawa) (Mar. 23, 2021)

This is the 4th year of our WTSP Project.

We are planning to enhance our current Beta Edition of World WTSP Catalogs, especially in two aspects:
(a) Getting attractive and useful introductions to excellent websites (especially at the levels ◎○) written by the site owners themselves, and
(b) Getting contributions of useful manuscripts of Country WTSP Catalogs compiled by voluntary WTSP teams in various countries (listing useful websites with introductions by surveyors or better by site owners).

We have submitted our Abstract to the ETRIA TFC2021 which will be held online on Sept. 22-24, 2021under the organization by Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy).  The Abstract is written in a well designed TFC2021 format (see the news page ) and already accepted for presentation.

Nevertheless, our progress of WTSP so far since last October has been very little, to our regret.  Some survey finds that our WTSP Catalgos are 'not popular' among TRIZ specialists.  We are trying to show the merits of introducing their websites in the WTSP Catalogs by demonstration some pioneering samples.  Good websites have a lot and variety of contents.  Thus writing a handy and close introduction to such websites is not an easy task for site owners; but for the same reasons such introductions are helpful for many TRIZ users and can attract new comers to their sites. On the basis of this understanding, we would like to get collaboration by TRIZ specialists to introduce their websites in the Catalogs, and hence to make our WTSP Catalgos attractive and useful for TRIZ Users and TRIZ specialists. (See the Guideline in .)

We wish to have pioneers and attractive samples of introduction of your websites.

(B4) WTSP News 2020

WTSP: Close site introduction: "TRIZ Power Tools" (Larry Ball) (TN2F-06) (Dec. 23, 2020)

Larry Ball is the main author of a wonderful website "TRIZ Power Tools", coded as TN2F-06 and evaluated as Most Important ◎ in the World TRIZ-related Sites Catalogs, see (A1P) .  On my request, he wrote introductions to his site in the Standard format (b) and in Close free-format (c).  This page (in WTSP News 2020) records a full set, i.e., (a) Brief site introduction (TN, Sept. 2019), (b) Standard Site Descript, (c) Close Site Introduction, and (d) Earlier communications (2003 - 2014), (e) Recent communications (Aug. - Dec., 2020) between Larry Ball and TN.  The Site Introductions are also set in the World WTSP Catalogs (A1)(A1P)(B1)(B1P) etc.  Larry Ball's introduction in (b) is shown here while skipping some sentences:

"This is a system of eBooks authored principally by Larry Ball with help from the rest of the coauthors. ... Immediately on entering the website, there are 4 short videos which include: [... How to navigate the eBooks by combining inventing Skills to accomplish inventive Jobs. ... How to use the eBooks to create your own innovation processes].
Larry was introduced to TRIZ by reading "TRIZ as an Exact Science" by G. Altshuller in 1989. Following that, he studied, used, and taught TRIZ and invention algorithms for many years, while continuing to read more TRIZ books and articles. ... The present eBooks "TRIZ Power Tools" were posted in May 2018, after much revisions. The contents are mainly based on TRIZ but reflects other methods including Design Thinking, Disruptive Innovations and Marketing, Blue Ocean Strategy, Theory of Constraints, and One Simple Idea. He believes that the best way to learn TRIZ deeply is to create your own product design and inventing algorithms after your own understanding, according to modern learning theory. ...  While written in English, each of the eBooks can be translated automatically into (practically) any language with the Google translator without waiting.
The contents are composed of two big groups. (A) Inventive Jobs (e.g., Discovering markets, Creating offerings (products/services), Designing and prototyping, Reducing offering burdens, Resolving problems, Selling of licensing your offering) and (B) Inventive Skills (e.g., Resolving contradictions, Working with functions, Idealizing useful functions, Idealizing informing functions, Idealizing harmful functions, Discovering cause, Discovering why targeted objects are required, Mobilizing function resources, Neutralizing harmful functions). These jobs and skills are to be used in various ways of appropriate combinations, as guided by the eBook navigation."

WTSP:  Some More Final Steps for Enhancing the World WTSP Catalogs (Toru Nakagawa) (Nov.22, 2020)

As we reported in the five conferences recently , the WTSP project has built Beta edition of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites and Around-TRIZ Sites and has made clear 'Some more final steps for enhancing them'.  For paving the road for such steps, I have fully updated our '(A4) Guidelines for Building World WTSP Catalogs', with step-by-step instructions, templates, links to examples, etc.   And I wrote this page for guiding you to such activities, by using several slides from ETRIA TFC2020 presentation
The contents are:  1. World WTSP Catalogs (Beta Edition, Jun. 2020);  2. Three Basic Requirements from Users;  3. Practice Guide for Building Country/World WTSP Catalogs;  4. Evaluation of Sites;  5. Site Introduction (3b) Standard Form to be written by the site owner (Mandatory);  6. Site Introduction (3c) Close Introduction in free format to be written by the site owner (Optional);  7. Preparing Manuscripts of Country/World WTSP Catalogs;  8. Concluding Remarks: Let's work Together ! Connected !!

WTSP:Five Conference presentations in Autumn 2020: World TRIZ-related Sites Project (WTSP)(3): World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ Sites: Beta Edition (Jun. 2020) and Its Further Enhancement (Toru Nakagawa, Darrell Mann, Michael Orloff, Simon Dewulf, Simon Litvin, Valeri Souchkov) (Nov.11, 2020)

This year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic over the world, traveling and meetings were prohibited or suppressed widely.  Hence many international/domestic conferences had to be shifted to hold online.  Presenters and participants communicate remotely on Internet.  This opened us the opportunities to participate in four international conferences on TRIZ and one domestic conference during this autumn.  We gave presentations on the WTSP Project/Catalogs as shown in the table below.  Considering the interests of audiences in different regions of the world, we adjusted our titles, emphases, and motives slightly.  We submitted papers, slides, and videos, as requested by the conferences.  Such documents are posted in this website.

WTSP: Close site introduction: JP-10 MOST LLC (Kazuya Yamaguchi) (Sept. 29, 2020)

K. Yamaguchi's site is listed in the World WTSP Catalog (A2P) as evaluated ○ with Nakagawa's introduction . Getting the contributions by him, a full set of site introductions is shown in the World WTSP Catalog (Japan Part) in Japanese. The set includes: (a) Brief introduction by Nakagawa as a surveyor, (b) Site description in the WTSP Standard Form (1 page in A4), and (c) Close site introduction in a free format (16 pages in A4) by the site owner.
In (c) Kazuya Yamaguchi writes a surprising statement "My belief based on my experience and achievements: 'You can solve difficult problems 100 %' ". The key is to borrow the powers of wise men in the world, namely to use the scientific methods for solving difficult problems. He recommends to do jobs in three steps: (1) To define the goal based on customers' demands, by using QFD; (2) To generate ideas and form them into concrete concepts, by usig TRIZ; and (3) To provide with products endurable against various bad situations in the market, by using Taguchi method. He explains his approach step by step, convincingly. -- This is an excellent example of site inroduction by a site owner. (English translation is expected in near future.) I hope many site owners in the world contribute their site introductions.

WTSP: World WTSP Catalog (Japan Part) is posted in Japanese translation (Toru Nakagawa) (Sept. 29, 2020) (Jul. 14, 2019)

World WTSP Catalogs have been built in English first, and now I translated its Japan Part (containing 26 sites) into Japanese and posted. (Most of the information came from the Japan WTSP Catalog (containing 92 sites) built in Japanese (Mar. 17, 2018) and translated into English (Apr. 4, 2018).) From the top page , users may access to the Index page , Site description page , and Close site introduction pages of optionally contributed individual sites (currently including 2 sites: JP-01 TRIZ Home Page in Japan (Toru Nakagawa) (Feb. 13, 2020) and JP-10 MOST LLC (Kazuya Yamaguchi) (Sept. 29, 2020)).
All the site owners (in Japan and in the world) are encouraged to contribute their-own site introductions in the Standard Form (A4 1 page) and more closely in a free format (A4 2-5 pages or more). .

Table of TRIZ sites Written in Russian Language in the world. Revised. (Michael Orloff) (Aug. 19, 2020)

The table of Russian Language Websites in the world, originally posted last year by Michael Orloff, has been revised by him and posted here.   He made much efforts for surveying more sites and has added 18 sites, and revised the evaluation of some of the former sites, and incorporated the information contributed by Nikolay Shpakovsky on his 3 sites.  The table is the Russian Language Sites part of our World TRIZ Sites Catalogs.  You can see the whole scope of work being carried out (and shown publicly) in relation to TRIZ in the mother countries of TRIZ.  Since the information in individual sites is huge, we wish to have some more site introductions by the site owners in future.  The Catalog will be a reliable source of TRIZ-related references and activities; its merit is the open, readily-accessible, always up-to-date, and active nature of the information sources in individual sites.

Why We Ask Site Owners to Write the Introduction of Their Own Sites (Communications between Michael Orloff and Toru Nakagawa) (Jul. 23, 2020)

This page records a series of communications (mainly) between Michael Orloff (Germany) and Toru Nakagawa from Jun. 1 to Jul. 10.  Michael Orloff,is one of WTSP Global Co-editors and served to make an extensive list of TRIZ Sites written in Russian Language last year.  We are now going to enhance our World WTSP Catalogs (the Beta Edition, Jun. 30, 2020) further, by getting closer descriptions of many more individual sites. He thought such work is very tough, and raised a fundamental question "What and Why we WTSP should do?".  So we made email communications of about a dozen turns.
Our Catalogs (just like Catalogs of  Excellent Hotels, Restaurants, etc.) must satisfy 2 basic requirements from users viewpoints: (1) Coverage and good selection (= evaluation) of useful sites in the world.  For this purpose we need wide and fair collaboration by many people in the world in TRIZ and related fields.  (2) Attractive and useful introductions of individual sites. We have 4 stages of description: (a) Basic information of the site and 'single line' description to be used in the Indexes.  (b1) A free-format introduction (3-10 lines) possibly written by surveyors.  (b2) Description in the WTSP Standard Form (1 page in A4) from various aspects (to be used for categorization) and brief introduction (about 5-10 lines), to be written by the site owners.  (c) Free-format, closer site introduction described by the site owners (2-5 pages in A4). Close description at the (b2) and (c) levels are wanted by users and can be written (properly) only by site owners.  Owners of ◎○ sites are proud of their sites and find (b2) too short and (c) necessary to introduce their sites fully.
We need pioneers who write good lists of sites and good samples of site introductions.  Then many people will follow, seeing the merits of being introduced in the WTSP Catalogs.  Beta Edition is just at the start of quick growth, we believe.

World WTSP Catalogs -- Beta Edition Is Ready, with Two pillars (TRIZ and Around TRIZ) and Catalogs (◎〇) for Print (Toru Nakagawa) (Jun. 30; Jul. 12, 2020) (Jul. 15, 2020)

We have built the World WTSP Catalogs (Jun. 2020 Edition) as a set of 8 Web pages of Indexes/Catalogs, as shown in the following list:
(A) World TRIZ Sites Catalogs
(A1) World TRIZ Sites Top Index (◎)
    (A2) World TRIZ Sites Basic Index (◎○)     -- (◎ 23 sites, ○ 39 sites)
(A1P) World TRIZ Sites Top Catalog (◎) for Print   (Jun. 7, 2020)
(A2P) World TRIZ Sites Basic Catalog (◎) for Print   (Jun. 30, 2020)
(C) World Around-TRIZ Sites Catalogs
    (C1) World Around-TRIZ Sites Top Index (◎)
    (C2) World Around-TRIZ Sites Basic Index (◎○)   -- (◎ 33 sites, ○ 127 sites, □ 19 sites)
    (C1P) World Around-TRIZ Sites Top Catalog (◎) for Print   (Jun. 15, 2020)
    (C2P) World Around-TRIZ Sites Basic Catalog (◎) for Print   (Jun. 30, 2020)
The data themselves have increased only very slightly from the Oct. 2019 Edition, but the usability has been improved much.  The "Index" pages (i.e., (A1)(A2)(C1)(C2)) are composed of the Index table of sites categorized and arranged well, where the site descriptions are accessed at their original Site description files by clicking the hyperlinks. On the other hand, the "Catalog for Print"pages (i.e., ((A1P)(A2P)(C1P)(C2P)) contain the descriptions of sites arranged in the same order as the Index part. They are downloadable in PDF (under the copyright remaining at the WTSP project), readable in print, and usable on your PC with active hyperlinks inside the Catalog and also going to external site URL.
Thus our World WTSP Catalogs are at the stage of the Beta Edition which invites users and practitioners to read and use actively for learning and applying in their jobs.  Please use the WTSP Catalogs and feed us back your comments/suggestions.  We are going to enhance/improve them further through voluntary collaboration of many people working in the fields of TRIZ and relevant methodologies.  Enjoy using WTSP Catalogs ! and Let's work Together !! Connected !!!

Note:  Many pages in the WTSP project site (under , mostly for building the Catalogs) have been renewed so that the outputs, i.e., the World WTSP Catalogs (under ), are readily accessible and useful for users. (Jul. 12, 2020)

World WTSP Catalogs -- (C1P) World Around-TRIZ Sites Top Catalog (◎) for Print (Toru Nakagawa) (Jun. 15, 2020)

Here we have the second pillar of our World WTSP Catalogs, namely World Around-TRIZ Sites Catalogs.  Even though we started the WTSP Project  in the TRIZ community, we would like to have a wider scope to various other methodologies and use/work in integrating/collaborative ways with them.  We have surveyed 'Around-TRIZ' sites with the keywords such as (a) Creative Thinking Method, (b) Creative/innovative/systematic Problem Solving, (c) Innovation Process/strategy/method/management, (d) Quality/value/cost/productivity Engineering/management, (e) Patent Analysis/mapping/strategy, etc.  Visiting about 1000 sites one by one, Nakagawa wrote brief descriptions of individual sites and evaluated them (tentatively) at 5 levels (◎〇□△-); thus we obtained 34 ◎ sites and 128 ○ sites.  We reported and posted the Oct. 2019 Edition of (C1) World Around-TRIZ Sites Top Index (◎)and (C2) World Around-TRIZ Sites Basic Index (◎〇), where individual site-descriptions are accessible by clicking the hyperlinks in the Indexes.

We now have made the (C1P) Catalog in a form easier to read, where the site descriptions are merged in the Index.  The '(C1P) World Around-TRIZ Sites Top Catalog (◎) for Print' is posted as a Web page and also in PDF .  The PDF file is portable, where all the hyperlinks (both internal and going-out) are active.  You may download and use the PDF file freely without charge/registration under the copyright by the WTSP Project.  We wish to enhance/improve our WTSP Catalogs further by the support and collaboration of many specialists/practitioners/users working in these wide fields.   Looking forward to your feedbacks and contributions.
[Note (TN, Jun. 30, 2020): Names of Catalogs/Indexes and their file names are readjusted in accordance with the Edition of Jun. 30, 2020.]

Introduction of the Site "MyTRIZ Official Site": Communications between Eng Hoo Tan and Toru Nakagawa (Jun. 15, 2020)

MyTRIZ (Malaysia TRIZ and Innovation Association) is very active.   Eng Hoo Tan (MyTRIZ) contributed the site descriptions.  Here is the record of our communications with him for refining the manuscripts.
(Note: In 2012, I was invited to their MyTRIZ Conference as a keynote speaker, and I was much impressed with their ways of promoting TRIZ in good collaboration among the government, universities, and industries.  See T.S. Yeoh's MyTRIZ President Address at that time and my Conference Report .)

WTSP Site Introduction: MyTRIZ (Malaysia TRIZ Innovation Association) Official Website Site (Eng Hoo Tan (MyTRIZ)) (Jun. 15, 2020)

From the Leader:  Welcome to the WTSP Project / Catalogs: Top pages of our site are renewed, for your easier access to the Catalogs (Toru Nakagawa) (Apr. 21, 2020) (Apr. 25, 2020)

This is an Article I posted in LinkedIn on Apr. 6.  The figure "Welcome to the WTSP Project / Catalogs" in our new page at the top of the WTSP domain is used to guide readers. We finished the Preliminary versions of World TRIZ Sites Catalog (62 sites at ◎〇 levels) and World Around-TRIZ Sites Catalogs (177 sites at ◎〇 levels).  They are much much better than any Internet surveys we can ordinary make.  However, many good and important sites in TRIZ are missing (because manuscripts are not yet submitted from 30-40 countries) and descriptions of individual sites are still weak.  We wish to enhance the WTSP Catalogs further to record many more, important and useful sites and to describe the individual sites more closely.  'Attractive and Useful' descriptions of individual sites in the world should be the value of our WTSP Catalogs.  Let's work Together ! Connected !! for such a goal.
One-page PDF file of this article, with active hyperlinks, is attached here . Please forward it to your friends, colleagues, students, customers, etc.

Introduction of the Site "Official Altshuller Foundation": Communications between Larisa Komarcheva and Toru Nakagawa (Apr. 21, 2020)

Official Altshuller Foundation is operated by the ceased family of Mr. G. Altshuller, and its site opens publicly the extensive Archives of Mr. Altshuller's works and documents.  The site is naturally shown at the top of our World TRIZ Sites Catalog.  On Feb. 28, I asked Larisa Komarcheva (the site owner) to write a thorough introduction of the site.  On Mar. 9, she send me a site introduction in our standard format and an explanation "Why was this website created".  On Mar. 12, I wrote several questions which many readers would like to learn from the site, and asked her to write some more introduction.  Since she is currently very busy, we have decided to post the communications in Feb.- Mar. here, and to show her descriptions as the Site Introduction in our WTSP Catalogs, on a temporary basis, hoping its enhancement by her in the near future.

WTSP Site Introduction: The "Official Altshuller Foundation" Site (Larisa Komarcheva (Official Altshuller Foundation), Mar. 9, 2020) (Apr. 21, 2020)

Introduction of the site in our WTSP Standard form.  Description: "The Official G.S. Altshuller Foundation, together with the Rights Holders of the Altshuller copyrights, created this website so that anyone can find amongst all the above of the original texts of the creator of TRIZ - RTV - TRTL, Genrikh Saulovich Altshuller (15 October 1926 – 24 September 1998)."  "Only works by Genrikh Altshuller and Valentina Zhuravlyova are posted on this site."  Why was this website created: "Briefly put: To serve as a reference point for people interested in learning about TRIZ independently; To present the undistorted (or sometimes little-known) works of G.S. Altshuller to users and developers of the theory".

From the Leader:  Main Pages of Our WTSP Site Have Been Renewed (Toru Nakagawa) (Apr. 3, 2020)

Over 2 years of our trials and progress of WTSP project have made our site a lot of new and old information which may be sometimes confusing for you.  I have renewed the main pages with the intentions (1) Clarify various aspects of the WTSP project for smoother work to build the WTSP Catalogs, and (2) Easier to access the WTSP Catalogs for ordinary users/readers. All the main pages from (A1) through (A8) are renewed, while keeping the old pages in the Archives.  Some of the main points are:
(a) Guidelines to build the WTSP Catalogs are shown clearly. Orthodox bottom-up approaches in each country, and bypassing approach to gather Attractive and Useful introduction of good sites.
(b) Smoother practices of preparing drafts, refining them into manuscripts, and building small Web sites by Members in each country, while integrating them into World WTSP Catalogs and public posting in "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" by the Project Leader .  The Bitrix24 platform will not be used.
(c) Current Active Version of World WTSP Catalogs are shown clearly, while the previous versions are archived.
(d) "Welcome to WTSP Projects / Catalogs" page is now accessible with the site domain URL: https://www.osaka-gu.ac.jp/php/nakagawa/TRIZ/eTRIZ/eWTSP/ . Users/readers are smoothly guided to the pages wanted.   See the figure.

Communication: "Loved the Compilation of Your WTSP Resources" (Carol Augustin) (Apr. 3, 2020)

I received an email with the charming title, as shown above, from a person I did not know before.  Here I post several turns of our communications with her (or him ?).  She happened to encounter our site of WTSP Catalogs and contributed the information of their two sites for extensive e-learning courses in professional skills in business. Their 2 sites are accepted in a new category X1BZ (Business oriented sites) as shown below. It is my pleasure that we can obtain new information about important Web sites in the world by virtue of the WTSP Catalogs themselves.  It is a sign of possible autonomous growing of the World WTSP Catalogs.

Two Web sites: eduCBA (○) and WallStreetMojo (□)for e-learning courses of professional skills in business  (Apr. 3, 2020)

In a new category X1BZ (Business oriented sites) the following 2 sites are listed in our World Around-TRIZ Catalog.  The sites are described in the Standard Formats.
X1BZ-01   eduCBA (○)  Online training and video courses for learning finance, software and business skills to achieve professional success.
X1BZ-02   WallStreetMojo (□) Sharing secrets about the best ways to learn Investment Banking, Financial Modeling, Equity Research, Accounting, M&As, Valuations and more.

Attractive and Useful !! Our WTSP Catalogs Will Be !! Plans for our 3rd year, 2020. (Toru Nakagawa) (Feb. 13, 2020)

What and how should we do this year?  (1) Forming WTSP teams in each country to build up County WTSP Catalogs, as I proposed last October is certainly the orthodox bottom-up way we should work.  In addition, I would like to suggest another way, based on the "20 - 80 percent rule" again:
Let's pursue to make our WTSP Catalogs Attractive and Useful !!  We may not pursue Full scale nor Completeness at first.   We just need Attractive and Useful introductions of Attractive and Useful Web sites in the world.  We should invite owners (or any key persons) who are proud of their sites being Attractive and Useful for many readers/users to describe Attractive and Useful introductions of their sites (in faithful, non-commercial attitude) and to contribute them to the WTSP Catalogs. Once 5 or 10 sites demonstrate such Attractive and Useful introductions of sites, then many more sites will follow.
In practice, for describing/introducing individual sites, we will add the third level (c) to our previous (a) and (b):
(a) Single line in the Index table of the WTSP Catalogs --- Required for every site in the WTSP Catalogs.
(b) Site Description in the Standard Format (about 1 page of A4 size): --- Required for every site in the WTSP Catalogs.
(c) Close introduction of the site in free format (about 2-5 pages of A4): Describe remarkable features and articles. Introduce important/useful articles briefly and attach hyperlinks to them. --- Desirable for world important sites (◎○)in the WTSP Catalogs, and optional for □△ sites.
An example of (c) has been made for Nakagawa's site "TRIZ Home Page in Japan", and has been inserted in the Current WTSP Catalogs. List of sites with such introductions (c) are shown in this page.
We are planning to give a presentation at ETRIA TFC2020 (Oct. 14-16, 2020, at Cluj-Napoca, Romania).

Current Active Version of World WTSP Catalogs (A8) are updated (Dec. 31, 2019)

World WTSP Catalogs are accessible as before in its Current Active Version, which will be kept up-to-date with additions and revisions.  Users may set the following URLs in their bookmarks to access the WTSP Catalogs in its Current Active Version.  Its main pages are:
The management page
The top page (for users) ; The source document page ;
(A) World TRIZ Basic Index (◎○) page ; (C) World Around-TRIZ Basic Index (◎○) page
Updating is going to be carried out every 3 months.  The update this time is very minor unfortunately.  We wish to improve the World WTSP Catalogs much further and to report the results at ETRIA TFC2020 in Oct. 2020.

Archived World WTSP Catalogs: (A8-A) (Archived 2019 Oct Version) Revised Preliminary Version of the World WTSP Catalogs (Dec. 31, 2019)

Main pages of the World WTSP Catalogs in the version of Oct. 20, 2019 (i.e., Revised Preliminary Version) have been duplicated, and one set  of them are stored in the Archive with the version name (A8-A). They are:
The management page
The top page (for users)
(A) World TRIZ Basic Index (◎○) page  ; (C) World Around-TRIZ Basic Index (◎○) page
Note: Many subsidiary files, including the files of lists of sites and sites descriptions, will be updated in their Active Versions.
Every year, some main pages of WTSP Catalogs will be stored in the archives, for the purpose of record and backing up without any further changes.

WTSP Mails and Letters (B3-News2019): Significance of the WTSP Project and its WTSP Catalogs: Communications with Bill Fowlkes (Bill Fowlkes (USA) and Toru Nakagawa) (Nov. 4, 2019)

Dr. Bill Fowlkes is VP of IP.com (USA) and was an active user of TRIZ software (Tech Optimizer and IWB) many years ago.  While looking for new information about TRIZ software, he met my Web site (probably the page of 'World 120 TRIZ Links' (2008)).  So he sent me a message via LinkedIn.  I mentioned him about our WTSP project and the newly-completed WTSP Catalogs (2019).  He found it a terrific reference.  On my request, he wrote the introduction of his site (coded as TN3E-23 in WTSP Catalog) in our standard Site Description Form.  Since it is a so nice example written by a professional in Intellectual Properties (i.e., an area AROUND TRIZ), I asked him to write a message of his impression of WTSP.  For doing so, he wanted to understand the structure of the WTSP project and the WTSP Catalogs.  After my explanation he sent us his message.   It expresses the heart of the WTSP project and WTSP Catalogs.  I am very grateful to Dr. Bill Fowlkes and very happy to cite his message below.
All the communications between Dr. Bill Fowlkes and myself are posted in the English page.  In the Japanese page, I explain the communications briefly and cite his message in Japanese translation.

To the World TRIZ-related Sites Project (WTSP) Global Co-editors:

I welcome the work you are doing to collect, organize, describe and link to the many internet sites that are of interest to students and practitioners of innovative methods such as TRIZ.

I have created a new bookmark folder with links to the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ sites and the WTSP Catalogs of AROUND-TRIZ sites, and I expect that I will be referring to them frequently.

The aggregation of these sites is much better than trying to find the data with a Google search, because the information is curated and brief descriptions are provided.

I encourage TRIZ providers and other content creators working in TRIZ related fields to participate in this project and make the World TRIZ-related Sites Project the best it can possibly be.

For Further Revisions of the WTSP Catalogs: Practice Guide and Schedule (Toru Nakagawa) (Oct. 20, 2019)

Now that the goals and processes of building the WTSP Catalogs have become much clearer and convincing, we wish to get voluntary cooperation by many TRIZ colleagues in every country to revise and improve the WTSP Catalogs.  We should list up TRIZ-related sites and introduce them one by one in every country. Manuscripts/updates by any country Teams or methodology groups will be accepted at any time by the WTSP Project Leader and will be publicized quickly in TRIZ Home Page in Japan.  And every 3 months such manuscripts will be integrated into the World Indexes for publication .  Let's work Together ! Connected !! and report much more useful WTSP Catalogs at the TFC2020 next year in Romania!!!

World WTSP Catalogs: (C) World Around-TRIZ Sites Basic Index (◎○) (Toru Nakagawa) (Sept. 30, 2019)

WTSP Catalog of "Around-TRIZ" Web sites in the world has been completed and posted as an important component of the Revised Preliminary Version (Sept. 30, 2019) of the WTSP World TRIZ-related Sites Catalogs
This reflects our philosophy that we should think and work with a wider scope not limited to (classical and modernized) TRIZ but covering various methodologies and practices having common purposes and goals.  So we made intensive Internet surveys with the keywords including: Creative Thinking Method,  Creative Problem Solve; Innovation process/strategy,  Quality/value/cost/productivity,  Patent/Intellectual property, etc. In 6 cases of surveys, we detected 1008 sites in total and visited them one by one for understanding them roughly.  Thus we got and evaluated as ◎ 36 sites, ○ 137 sites, and □ 287 sites (allowing overlaps among the survey cases).  In addition, for the sense of 'TRIZ inclusive", some of ◎○ sites in the area of TRIZ (especially having some extensions from TRIZ) are included.  Also ◎○□ sites around TRIZ in Japan are also included for showing the intention of the scope.
In the present 'World Around-TRIZ Basic Index', we took the ◎○ sites and categorized and arranged them according to their (main) roles of sites.  The categories are: (a) Information sending sites,  (b) Promotor organizations, (c) Public organizations, (d) Academia, (e) Developer organizations, (e5) Training organizations, (f) Publishing organizations, (g) Information sharing, (h) User organizations, (i) Personal.  The present version includes ◎ 34 sites, ○ 128 sites, and □ 13 sites.  All the sites are described to some extents mostly by using the excerpts of the top pages or 'About us' pages of the sites.

Preliminary Internet Search (3E) of TRIZ-related Sites in a wider scope with the keywords: (Patent OR IP OR "Intellectual Property") (Analysis OR Protect OR Circumvent OR Mapping OR Strategy) (Toru Nakagawa)  (Sept. 19, 2019)

This is the 6th survey with the keywords around TRIZ, and focusing on Patent or Intellectual Properties. 186 sites were output, and 95 of them from the top are visited and used.  Information in 'About us' and top pages is excerpted as the quick alternatives for introductions. After tentative evaluation, we obtained ◎ 5 sites (including 4 L sites), ○ 18 sites (including 3 L sites), □ 37 sites, △ 15 sites, and - 17 sites.  The sites are shown in the HTML page and in the .docx file . See also the sample description of the and sites in the HTML page.  The data are also set in the Index-TN3E file and the Site-TN3E file inside the documents of the World WTSP Catalogs (Preliminary version).

Preliminary Internet Search (3D) of TRIZ-related Sites in a wider scope with the keywords: (Quality OR Value OR Cost OR Productivity) (Deploy OR Engineering OR Management OR Control OR Analysis) (Method OR Technique OR Theory OR Process OR "Case Study")  (Toru Nakagawa)  (Sept. 12, 2019)

The main theme in the top-down survey has been extended further. These Key words are designed to specify the goals first (i.e., Quality, Value, Cost, or Productivity), then the action for achieving them (i.e., Deploy, Engineering, Management, Control, or Analysis), and finally the ways of processing (i.e., Method, Technique, Theory, Process, or Case study). These Key words intend to complement the former Key words, and have resulted in 223 sites most of which are new and not overlapping with the former surveys.  Among the sites, I evaluated as ◎ Most important 16 sites (including 8 sites L already listed elsewhere), ○ Important 38 sites (including 6 L sites), □ World Catalog 86 sites (including 2 L sites), △ Country Catalog 36 sites (including 0 L site), and - Irrelevant 41 sites.  The sites are shown in the HTML page and in the .docx file . See also the sample description of the and sites in the HTML page.  The data are also set in the Index-TN3D file and the Site-TN3D file inside the documents of the World WTSP Catalogs (Preliminary version).

Presentation at Japan TRIZ Symposium 2019:  World TRIZ Sites Project (WTSP) (2): World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ-related Sites in the World (Toru Nakagawa and Global Co-editors)   (Sept. 7, 2019)

Japan TRIZ Symposium 2019, held by Japan TRIZ Society, on Sept. 5-6, 2019 in Tokyo.  The slides in English  (PDF ) and in Japanese (PDF ) are posted.

From the start of our WTSP project in Dec. 2017, we took the Bottom-up strategy to build TRIZ sites Catalogs in each country first and then to build the World Catalog containing selected sites.  Even though we have about 70 TRIZ colleagues from 30+ countries who signed to work for WTSP, forming WTSP teams with Country Editors and drafting Country WTSP Catalogs were not achieved in most countries by the end of Mar. 2019, because active TRIZ colleagues are always too busy in their various jobs.
So we started Top-down approaches also. Realizing the necessity of a concrete image of the final product, we set in mid Jul. 2019 an urgent goal of completing the First Preliminary version of World WTSP Catalogs quickly.  We have completed it on Aug. 4, 2019. Manuscript documents contributed by Japan, Malaysia, China, and Russian region and two top-down surveys (in the world and in USA) are used.  WTSP Catalog of World TRIZ Sites Basic Index now contains 19 ◎ (Most important) sites and 41 ○ (Important ) sites.  It is remarkable that we have established a feasible, expandable and maintainable structure of Catalog documents, a flexible and practical ways of categorizing/rearranging the sites, and a useful top page of showing and handling WTSP Catalogs with various types of indexes.  We are going to improve it further by adding many more sites evaluated as ◎○□, extending our scope to the sites around TRIZ, and adding introductory descriptions of individual sites.  Emergence of bottom-up activities in every country is the crucial issue for our further success.

World WTSP Catalogs: World TRIZ Sites Basic Index (◎○) (Toru Nakagawa) (Aug. 4; Sept. 30, 2019)

This is the basic Catalog (or Core Catalog) of the World WTSP Catalogs.  It shows the sites in TRIZ in the world with the evaluations of ◎(Most important, about top 30) and ○ (Important, about top 100).  60 sites are arranged after categorizing them with the Roles of site.  The Index is shown in a tabular form.  By clicking the site code (or site number) in the table, description of the site will be displayed.  This is a preliminary version containing the data from only 4 countries (Japan, Malaysia, China, and Russian region) and 2 top-down surveys (TRIZ in the world, and TRIZ in USA).  By getting contributions from many more countries (hopefully 30-40 countries) and by improving the site descriptions, we are sure that this core part (World TRIZ Basic Index) of World WTSP Catalogs can tell us rich and useful information about TRIZ activities and their achievements in the world.
Minor revision (Sept. 30, 2019).

World WTSP Catalogs: World WTSP Catalogs Top Page (Toru Nakagawa) (Aug. 4, 2019)

This is the top page of our new World WTSP Catalogs !!!.   The World WTSP Catalogs form a system of various Indexes to the descriptions of sites.  Its structure (for the users) is illustrated in the following figure.
On the basis of the data of Table of sites and Descriptions of sites contributed by various country Teams and by Top-down surveys, the World WTSP Catalogs provide us with additional Indexes which show the sites in the world after various ways of categorization and rearrangement. We have just built the World TRIZ Basic Catalog, showing ◎ and ○ sites in TRIZ in the world.  We are going to build a few more Indexes containing the ◎○□ sites and also the sites around TRIZ

World WTSP Catalogs: Source Documents of the World WTSP Catalogs (Toru Nakagawa) (Aug. 4, 2019)

This page manages the source documents contributed by various WTSP Teams to the World WTSP Catalogs.  Such documents have to be examined to make sure that they match with the requirements of the mandatory information, suitable formatting, hyperlinks & anchor points, and working as a small Web site of each Team/Case.  For the document management, the structure of folders of documents has been designed in the figure shown below.  This design ensures easy handling and consistency of data throughout the stages of initial checking, preparation of World Catalogs, usage of Catalogs, and maintenance/updating the Catalogs.

WTSP Working Material: Index Table of TRIZ sites Written in Russian Language in the world (Michael Orloff) (Aug. 4; Sept. 30, 2019)

I received this manuscript from Michael Orloff on Jul. 24, and sent [WTSP] Letter (12C-2ru) to many Russian speaking TRIZ people, saying: "The present list of Russian language TRIZ sites are really nice and will make the World WTSP Catalogs useful and meaningful...."   35 TRIZ sites written in Russian language in the world are selected and briefly introduced here.  The sites are listed in the form of 'Index Table of Sites' for the preparation of the World WTSP Catalogs.  We can learn that there are many excellent sites written and operated by TRIZ masters which have not been known well in the world because most of them are written only in the Russian language.
Minor revision by Michael Orloff (Sept. 30, 2019).

WTSP New Strategy: New Strategy of the WTSP Project: To Show World WTSP Catalogs Quickly (Toru Nakagawa & 5 Global Co-editors) (Jul. 25, 2019)

This is an excerpt of Section 4 of the preprint of our ETRIA TFC2019 paper.  It is a comprehensive description of our new strategy since the beginning of June as described in the Practice Guide , its Short Summary , WTSP Mails and Letters etc.  Our original strategy was:  Bottom-up Approach: Build Country WTSP Catalogs first with many Web sites after thorough survey. Then we build World WTSP Catalogs with selected sites. -- This puts much burden on WTSP members. Hence, WTSP Teams have not started well in almost all countries.  Our new strategy is:  Try to show the World WTSP Catalogs quickly, relying on the "20 - 80 % Principle", i.e., "Do rough but essential 20 % efforts and get 80 % results".  -- Looking at the image of our final goal in a concrete form, many people will understand the vision clearly and will join us.   This strategy is explained concretely:  Structure of World WTSP Catalogs, Japan Part of World WTSP Catalogs as an example, Practice Guide, and Plans.

World WTSP Catalogs (Japan Part): WTSP Catalog of TRIZ-related Sites in Japan for the people in the whole world (Toru Nakagawa)  (Jul. 14, 2019))

Japan Part of the World WTSP Catalogs has been demonstrated in the new page. This posting has 3 intentions:
(1) 'The Catalog of TRIZ-related Sites in Japan' posted last year in English was the English translation of 'Japan WTSP Catalogs' for the people in Japan .  Using the WTSP criteria, all the sites are re-evaluated; ◎〇□ sites to be shown in the World WTSP Catalogs (for all the people in the world), while ◎〇□ and △ sites in the Japan WTSP Catalogs (for people in Japan).  This sort of differences in the WTSP criteria between World and Country should be recognized in every country.
(2) The new page demonstrates the manuscripts to be prepared by WTSP Teams in every country (i.e., Index Table of Sites (in .xlsx) and Descriptions of Sites (in .docx), and at the same time a completed WTSP Catalog as a small Web site (i.e., Index page (in .html) and Descriptions of Sites page (in .html) connected with many hyperlinks).  The final form of the World WTSP Catalog is expected to be the integration of many World WTSP Catalogs (Individual Part) coming from Country Teams and Top-down Surveys.  Index Tables of Sites are integrated into a single Index Table in Excel, and it is sorted/rearranged in Excel to form a suitable Index page in HTML.  The 'Descriptions of Sites' files are converted into HTML files and are simply gathered in a folder.
(3) For Completing the World WTSP Catalogs before TFC2019, I am planning the following 2 steps .  (Step 1) Using the manuscripts submitted by Jul. 28, I am going to make a World WTSP Catalog containing the sites ◎〇 only and post it around Aug. 4.  (Step 2) Using the manuscripts submitted by Sept. 15, I am going to make the World WTSP Catalogs containing the sites ◎〇□ and post them around Sept. 30.  I wish many TRIZ colleagues in the world to contribute their WTSP manuscripts by following the WTSP Practice Guide .  The present page illustrates the manuscripts and the prototype of the completed  World WTSP Catalogs.

Practice Guide to Complete the World WTSP Catalogs and to Report It at ETRIA TFC2019 (Toru Nakagawa) (Jun. 10, 2019)

This article is our Practice Guide for completing our World WTSP Catalogs before TFC2019 (to be held on Oct. 9-11, 2019 at Marrakech, Morocco).  It is based on the last two sections of our recently-submitted TFC2019 paper (written in black fonts), which reflects our recent discussions .  To make this an effective Practice Guide, I have added various notes, referring to existing information (in green fonts) and mentioning new and detailed information (in blue fonts).
This article has 2 important findings.  (a) I have obtained a clear and practical technical vision of World WTSP Catalogs in the form of Interactive Edition; composed of the Index file (.pdf) and many List of Sites files (.pdf), where both types of files can be built and updated easily.
(b) Forming WTSP Teams with Country Editors in every country is most crucial for the success of WTSP.
We eagerly wish to work Together ! Connected !! with you for further proliferation of TRIZ and related methodologies.

Objectives of WTSP and Practical Approaches for Us: In Reply to Michael Orloff (Toru Nakagawa) (Jun. 2, 2019)

Probably, my recent articles on Internet surveys and Database System proposal give impression to M. Orloff and many TRIZ colleagues that the WTSP project is now expanding too big to follow. This misunderstanding might have come from the difference between my work for thinking about the final publication of WTSP Catalogs at the global level and the work expected for WTSP members to visit and describe individual sites at the country level.
Thus using the 8 slides we presented at ETRIA TFC2018, I show that our aims and plans etc. are the same and even the difficulties we are facing now are essentially the same as before.  The crucial issues for us exist at the country level, to form a WTSP Team, to get Country Editor for coordinating the Team, and to build the WTSP Catalog in the county. Thus in this article I discuss about the practical ways of bottom-up approach for building Country WTSP Catalogs step by step.  I also show the practical process at the global level to build the World WTSP Catalogs manually without assuming the WTSP Database System now at the proposal stage.

Proposal of the WTSP Database System (Toru Nakagawa) (May 24,2019)

This is a proposal to build "WTSP Database System". It accepts the description of individual Web sites in a standard format (see ), containing the answers in the aspects of Location, Language, Role, Application phase, Application fields, Methods, and Evaluation. The key to our system is these Multiple sets of Indexing Schemes (see ).  The System can generate WTSP Indexes and WTSP Catalogs in various ways of hierarchical classification and arrangements from these aspects, as specified by the control input. It also serves as an on-line Query System using the same mechanism of hierarchical classification.  The proposal is written conceptually yet thoroughly for implementation.  See the figure of the overall structure of the System .  Once having the WTSP Database System installed, we will be able to concentrate our efforts to survey and describe good Web sites in TRIZ and relevant methodologies.

Preliminary Internet Searches (3) of TRIZ-related Sites in wider scopes in the world (Toru Nakagawa) (May 18; Sept. 30,2019)

I started the '3rd round' of surveys of TRIZ-related sites in wider scopes by using keywords different from TRIZ.  At moment, I am going to focus the sites written in English and located in the whole world.

(3A) with the keywords Creat* Think* Method*  (Toru Nakagawa)  (May 18, 2019)

The keywords were interpreted much widely to include the words: Make, Build, Feel, Way, etc.  The outputs are much diluted, and I obtained the results: ◎ 1 site, ○ 4 sites, □ 15 sites, △ 3 sites, and - 84 sites.

(3A2) with the keywords Creative Think Method  (Toru Nakagawa)  (May 18, 2019)

The keywords work well to output 194 sites. I evaluated them as: ◎ 1 site, ○ 15 sites, □ 65 sites, △ 31 sites, L (Listed already elsewhere) 15 sites, and - 56 sites.  The sites are shown in the HTML page and in the .docx file

(3B) with the keywords: (Creative OR innovative OR Systematic) Problem Solve (Method OR Process OR Technique)  (Toru Nakagawa)  (Jun. 23, 2019)

The main theme has been extended to more objective one 'Creative Problem Solving' in (3B).  The result is very productive to find many useful sites. Among the 173 sites, I evaluated as ◎ Most important 10 sites (including 8 L sites already listed elsewhere), ○ Important 26 sites (incl. 7 L ), □ World Catalog 64 sites (incl. 7 L), △ Country Catalog 32 sites (incl. 1 L ), and - Irrelevant 39 sites.  The sites are shown in the HTML page and in the .docx file

(3C) with the keywords: Innovation  (Process OR Strategy OR Method OR management OR Technology)  (Toru Nakagawa)  (Jul. 6, 2019)

The main theme has been further extended to the hot and big topic of Innovation. The survey outputs many useful Web sites, most of them are not covered with the previous surveys.  Among the 207 sites, I evaluated as ◎ Most important 3 sites (including 3 L sites), ○ Important 36 sites (incl. 11 L), □ World Catalog 78 sites (incl. 8 L), △ Country Catalog 70 sites (incl. 0 L), and - Irrelevant 19 sites.  The sites are shown in the HTML page and in the .docx file

(3D) of TRIZ-related Sites in a wider scope with the keywords: (Quality OR Value OR Cost OR Productivity) (Deploy OR Engineering OR Management OR Control OR Analysis) (Method OR Technique OR Theory OR Process OR "Case Study")  (Toru Nakagawa)   (Sept. 12, 2019)

(3E) of TRIZ-related Sites in a wider scope with the keywords: (Patent OR IP OR "Intellectual Property") (Analysis OR Protect OR Circumvent OR Mapping OR Strategy) (Toru Nakagawa)  (Sept. 19, 2019)

Preliminary Internet Searches (2) of TRIZ-related Sites in the world (Toru Nakagawa) (Mar. 18; Mar. 31; Jun. 23, 2019)

Surveys of TRIZ-related sites are carried out in a top-down approach by use of Internet Search engines.
Processes of the internet search and further data handling for understanding and evaluating the sites are devised and described in detail.  Evaluation of sites in 5 levels is introduced as: ◎ Most important, ○ Important, and □ Worthy in the World WTSP Catalog; △ Worthy  in Country WTSP Catalogs; and - Irrelevant/neglected in the WTSP Catalogs.
For confirming the survey strategy, the effectiveness of the 'Base Document' (Nakagawa, May 2008) has been examined.  It is concluded that we should carry out our surveys newly without trying to revise the old documents.
Results of the surveys (2A) through (2F) are shown in detail in the HTML pages.  The sites written in non-English languages are not evaluated yet, and description of introductions of sites is left to be done by the collaboration of many TRIZ colleagues.
-- Data parts in these pages are shown in a tabular form, for easier handling of the data. (Apr. 9, 2019)

Note (TN, Apr. 4, 2019):  WTSP pages (A2) Organization (List of Members), (A4) Guidelines, (A6) Outputs have been updated.

Preliminary Internet Searches of TRIZ-related Sites (2A) written in English in the world

The sites output by the Internet search are evaluated as: ◎ 6, ○ 13, □ 29, △ 33, - 25. And the top 81 sites are listed with their Evaluation symbol, site name, site URL, and number of pages hit by Site search.

(2B) written in Russian in the world   (Toru Nakagawa, Michael Orloff; Nikolay Shpakovsky)

Internet search outputs 106 sites.  Page title and site name, site URL, and URL for site search are listed without evaluation yet.
Michael Orloff listed the URLs of 26 Selected sites operated by TRIZ professionals, and 49 sites/pages of TRIZ users.
Nikolay Shpakovsky examined the Internet Search and made a list of 35 Selected sites (adding 15 new sites). (Jun. 23, 2019)

(2C) written in German in the world

Internet search outputs 107 sites.  They are listed without evaluation yet.

(2D) written in French in the world

Internet search outputs 90 sites. They are listed without evaluation yet.

(2E) written in Spanish/Portuguese in the world

Internet search outputs 123 sites, but 73 of them are irrelevant because of a female singer's name Triz..  50 sites are listed without evaluation yet.

(2F) written in English in USA

Internet search outputs 90 sites, and they are evaluated as: ◎ 6, ○ 11, □ 27, △24, -22
