Japan TRIZ CB has held "The First TRIZ Symosium in Japan" on Sept. 1-3, 2005 at Shuzeji, for the purpose of providing an open forum for presentation, discussion, and partnership.   Participants (100 from all over Japan and 4 from overseas) took parts in 2 Keynote lectures, 11 Oral and 5 Poster presentations, 4 Vendor presentations and demos, and 1 Concluding discussion, as well as a lot of informal discussions and communications for 3 days in a resort training facility. The program with abstracts is posted here. Keynote lectures are posted here both in English and in Japanese. Other presentations will be posted in this Web site in Japanese and/or in English from now on. This Symposium has musch encouraged the Japanese TRIZ community to promote TRIZ further for innovation in Japan, in industries and in academia..

  "First TRIZ Symposium in Japan", Outline Report

 

Date: Sept. 1, 2005 (Thu.) 14:00 -- Sept. 3, 2005 (Sat.) 15:00 (2 days and half)
Location: Laforet Shuzenji, Shuzenji, Izu, Shizuoka, Japan
(A resort training facility, located near Mt. Fuji, accessible in 2.5 hours by local trains from Tokyo)
Purpose: To provide with an open opportunity for presenting, discussing, and communicating in Japan on TRIZ and related area.
Activities:

Keynote Speeches: Toru Nakagawa (OGU) and Darrell Mann (UK)
Oral Presentations: 11 contributed papers (9 from Japan and 2 from overseas), 30 min. talk + 10 min. Q&A
Poster Presentations: 5 contributed papers in parallel
Vendor Presentations and Demos: 4 TRIZ service vendors.
Reception and Informal Group Discussions: In the evenings
Closing Discussion: How to introduce, promote, and apply TRIZ in Japan.

Official language: Japanese and English
Accomodation: Laforet Shuzenji (A resort hotel with training facilities)
Participants: Total 104 (including 100 from Japan and 4 from overseas (UK, USA, Korea))
