(From Wikipedia) LinkedIn is an American business and employment-oriented service that operates via websites and mobile apps. Founded on December 28, 2002, and launched on May 5, 2003, it is mainly used for professional networking, including employers posting jobs and job seekers posting their CVs. As of 2015, most of the company's revenue came from selling access to information about its members to recruiters and sales professionals.  Since December 2016 it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft. As of June 2019, LinkedIn had 630 million registered members in 200 countries.
LinkedIn allows members (both workers and employers) to create profiles and "connections" to each other in an online social network which may represent real-world professional relationships. Members can invite anyone (whether an existing member or not) to become a connection. LinkedIn participated in the EU's International Safe Harbor Privacy Principles.

About: Our Story:  Coursera was founded in 2012 by two Stanford Computer Science professors who wanted to share their knowledge and skills with the world. Professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng put their courses online for anyone to take - and taught more learners in a few months than they could have in an entire lifetime in the classroom. Since then, we've built a platform where anyone, anywhere can learn and earn credentials from the world's top universities and education providers.

In 2007, Mastersportal was born and proved to be a roaring success. Soon after, Bachelors, PhD, Short Courses, Distance Learning and Preparation courses portals followed suit. However, it is not possible to give definitive predictions on how long this might take to happen.   In the interim, JPND has identified through its Research Strategy common research goals that would benefit from joint action between countries in order to accelerate progress on solutions that can alleviate the symptoms, and lessen the social and economic impact for patients, families and health care systems.
JPND supports transnational research projects and working groups that enable researchers to collaborate across borders to tackle the global challenge of neurodegenerative diseases.

(From wikipedia)  European Standards:  European Standards (abbreviated EN, from the German name Europäische Norm)) are technical standards which have been ratified by one of the three European standards organizations: European Committee for Standardization (CEN), European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), or European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). All ENs are designed and created by all interested parties through a transparent, open, and consensual process.    European Standards are a key component of the Single European Market. They are crucial in facilitating trade and have high visibility among manufacturers inside and outside the European territory. A standard represents a model specification, a technical solution against which a market can trade.   European Standards must be transposed into a national standard in all EU member states. This guarantees that a manufacturer has easier access to the market of all these European countries when applying European Standards. Member countries must also withdraw any conflicting national standard: the EN supersedes any national standard.        ---- (TN, Apr. 21, 2022) ---
