    Some Basic Discussions

  Michael Orloff (Global Co-editor)  ==>  TN           Mar. 29, 2023

My dear colleague Toru,    Over the past three days, starting work on writing a letter to Russian-speaking site owners to invite them to write in free form about their sites, I again encounter the following problems.

(snips:   Details of problems/questions are omitted here.   See TN's reply shown below.)

  TN ==>  Michael Orloff         Apr. 1, 2023

Dear Michael, Sorry to be late in reply. I have been busy for these 3-4 days for a quite different work.  I read your mail several times, and now I have found some reasons why you feel confused and frustrated.  Here are my replies to you in a somewhat generalized way:

(1) Concerning your website presentation in WTSP Catalogs:

As I wrote you last December, my understanding of your work and website was very poor, to my regret. Thus A1P and A2P Catalogs (latest update: Aug. 2021) shows your sites as:
      GRAMTRIZ (Ru) ◎ (e5) Training organizations, (e1)(h3)
      AiMTRIZ (En)     ○   (e5) Training organizations,(e4)(e1)(h3)

[(Note: TN, Apr. 3, 2023): When I was working to build the Germany Part of World WTSP Catalogs, I realized my understanding of this website was poor (because learning only a small portion of it).  So, on Dec. 13, I apologized to the site owner, and asked him to write a full introduction of the site.]

Last December, you wrote the full introduction of your Modern TRIZ Academy site. It is posted on an independent page (as announced in the top page of "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" and in the 'WTSP News 2022' page).

Modern TRIZ Academy (En) ◎ (a1) Dedicated for information sending, (e1) Method developers, (e4) Consultants, (e5) Training organizations, --

[The category (a1) is regarded most significant and practically implies many other categories such as (e1) Method developers, (e4) Consultants,(e5) Training organizations, (g3) Knowledge sharing, ... ]

The new information of your site (Dec. 2022) is reflected as DE-03 site in Germany Part of World WTSP Catalogs .

Unfortunately again, however, Germany Part Catalogs (including your DE-03) is not reflected in the World WTSP Catalogs A1P and A2P yet. Incorporating new data into World WTSP Catalogs consistently is a hard job, which is done only when updating the Edition of the World WTSP Catalogs.

In short, all your updates are already set as the parts to be incorporated in near future (probably in coming May or June) into the Catalog System.

(2) Catalogs of sites distributed by country:

Such Catalogs you request are ready only when the country team made them or a top-down Internet survey is processed for the country. Thus, as shown in my recent LinkedIn Post, a very limited number of countries have Country Catalogs (as the parts of the World WTSP Catalogs).

I am not planning to make the World WTSP Catalogs in the form distributed by countries. There are many big websites operated/used in many countries, and there are many consultants, directories, etc. working internationally. Duplication of sites is messy.

(3) Searching inside the World WTSP Catalogs.

We definitely need to install some search mechanism inside the World WTSP Catalogs. Search for a website with its site name, with the name of its key person, Searching for websites operated in a country, for websites good in developing new methods, for websites good for e-learning, ...

Our search mechanism should be able to work for all these inquiries, and more. We would like to have some talented persons to develop and install such a mechanism.

For the basis of such searching, all the websites should show their properties/categories which are requested in the WTSP Standard Form of Site Descriptions. We do not need to list a website at multiple positions (for reflecting multiple Roles, for example) by virtue of this search mechanism. --- This makes the World WTSP Catalogs simple and compact.

(4) Examples of full site description.

Files of full site descriptions are linked from the Brief or Standard site descriptions. Such links are also shown in the Index part of (country part or World) WTSP Catalogs. Such examples are written one by one and shown at different places. Depending on the categories or types of websites, we should have good examples of full site description.

I will make a list of all the existing examples of full site description and post it on the WTSP Forum page or somewhere else.

[TN (Apr 2, 2022):  Such a list was already made in Aug. 2021 and is set at two places, i.e., at the bottom section of (A) World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites: Top page  and at the bottom section of the World-SourceDocuments.html page .  I have decided to eraze the section in the former page (for avoiding from duplication) and updated the list in the latter page. We now have 9 examples of full site descriptions in the World-SourceDocuments.html page . ]

[TN (Apr. 4, 2023): The latter page, World-SourceDocuments.html , has been revised to make its structure clearer: (A) Instructions for preparing the Manuscripts, and (B) (All the) Manuscripts (= Source Documents) of the World WTSP Catalogs. ]

(5) Value of the World WTSP Catalogs

The primary value of the World WTSP Catalogs is to help the site owners to achieve their roles and efforts better/fully. Every website owner makes much efforts for building/ operating/promoting their website(s) for their various purposes/intentions. Introduction and full description of their sites in the World WTSP Catalogs will spread the information of the websites and help the site owners to achieve their purposes/intentions.

A list of websites, properly evaluated/selected/categorized/introduced properly, is "Useful" to search for websites of users' interest.
The sites (or the whole list) are "Attractive" only if the sites are presented "Attractively" to the users.
If a website is presented "Attractively" in the "Useful" list, the users will be attracted and visit the website. This is the valuable result for the users, for the website owners, and for the Catalogs.

If the list becomes more "Useful" by getting many good websites, with proper evaluation/selection/categorization/introduction, the more users will come and see the list. The websites which are "Attractive" and presented "Attractively" will attract/get more (new) users; while other websites, which are not presented "Attractively", will not get (new) users.

I hope this message is helpful for you (and for many experts), Best wishes, Toru

  Michael Orloff ==>  TN           Apr. 2, 2023

1) Thank you for your detailed letter.  Thank you for understanding my concerns about the positioning of my sites - after all, there is a lot of research and education behind them, and of course, I would like my sites to be correctly represented in the WTSP directories.

2)  Here again I must express my wish that there must be a catalog of all the sites in the world, ordered by country.   It is interesting for readers not only to see some ratings of sites in the world, but also the distribution of sites by country.

Also, it's not easy to set "global ratings". In addition, this may even be unfair to sites, for example, from African countries, because, naturally, they are just starting with the use of TRIZ, so they cannot compete in content with leading sites, say, in Japan, Korea, USA, Russia or Europe.

It is necessary with the distribution by country. In general, you can make different lists with different sorting criteria.

All the best to you!         Michael

  TN ==>  Michael Orloff         Apr. 3, 2023

1) Regarding your website, Modern TRIZ Academy, I am happy to understand your site and present it correctly in our WTSP Catalogs due to your new full site presentation.  The evaluation of websites has to be done carefully, and therefore the provisional/preliminary evaluation has to be checked/revised later.  A full site presentation by the site owners is of course helpful for a better understanding of the site.

2) Possible WTSP Catalogs arranged by country:  I would like to explain some more:

(a)  Many users in each country, especially those who speak non-English languages, want to read/use their Country WTSP Catalogs.  Various websites written (hopefully) in their own language and active in their country (at the levels of ◎○□ and △) are very useful for ordinary users.  Excellent websites (at the levels of ◎ and ○) in other countries of the world can be learned by experts and some users.   Such Country WTSP Catalogs can and should be developed by the TRIZ community in each country. We encourage such bottom-up type development in different countries.

We have a special rule to include at least one website for every country in the World WTSP Catalogs. Such a website can show how and how much TRIZ is known and accepted in the country.

We want our World WTSP Catalogs to be concise and to avoid unnecessary duplication.  Thus we decide to present a website according to the (registered) location of the website, without showing (possibly many) countries of operation/usage.  In the Country WTSP Catalogs, many large/global services in TRIZ-related fields may be commonly listed in different countries.

Once wehave built the World WTSP Catalogs, where websites are arranged with the categorization by Evaluation/Roles of the site, we can make its variant by rearranging all websites with the categorization by Country/Evaluation, for example.   The rearrangement will be done in the Index Table of all the websites, using (ordinary Excel) sorting method, without moving the site descriptions.   This gives the World WTSP Catalogs for interactive use.  To make a Catalog for Print (just like A1P and A2P), we need to arrange the site descriptions in the order specified by the Index Table.  (I would like to have a tool to do this last process automatically.)

Anyway it's clear that we need the cooperation of many TRIZ colleagues, for various tasks such as building Country WTSP Catalogs (or Country Part of World WTSP Catalogs), coordinating WTSP Teams in each country, installing a search mechanism inside the WTSP Catalogs, installing a tool for making a Print-type Catalogs from an Interactive-type Catalogs, etc.

Thanking you again for your cooperation as Global Co-editor,     Best wishes, Toru

  TN ==>  Michael Orloff         Apr. 4, 2023

Dear Michael, I have added some short notes to our communications posted in the WTSP Forum page.
According to your request, I am sending you the Index Table of all the TRIZ websites (◎○) in an Excel file.  You will see that the 63 websites merged from various sources are rearranged step by step into the Index file of the (A2) World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.  You can try to rearrange the websites according to the Country (and Evaluation).
Best wishes, Toru

Values of the World WTSP Catalogs

  TN ==>  LinkedIn        Apr. 6, 2023             ==> PDF

Values of the World WTSP Catalogs: for Site Owners, for TRIZ Experts, for TRIZ Users, and for TRIZ.
-- Who then Creates the Values?
Toru Nakagawa (Osaka Gakuin University, WTSP Leader)

We published the  "Call for Contributions to the World WTSP Catalogs" on Jan. 25 and sent Letters to TRIZ leaders/colleagues of about 30 countries individually. In response, we received preliminary manuscripts from Korea (Min-Gyu Lee),  Poland (Joanna Majchrzak), Taiwan (Ming-Hung Sung), and Malaysia (EngHoo Tan), as well as a number of personal communications.

In general, these answers reflect the difficulties of getting cooperation from TRIZ leaders/colleagues in their countries.

In order to overcome this long-standing obstacle, we should clarify the Goals and Values of the World WTSP Catalogs and be confident to establish them.

The concrete Goals of our WTSP project are to create the World WTSP Catalogs, which will list good/useful websites all over the world in the fields of TRIZ and related methods, with proper evaluation/selection/categorization/introduction.

The Value of the World WTSP Catalogs is considered here from four points of view: (1) Website owners (individually), (2) TRIZ leaders/experts/practitioners, (3) TRIZ practitioners/users/learners, and (4) TRIZ itself.

(1) The Value of the WTSP Catalogs is primarily for individual website owners to present their websites concisely, in a standard format, and also fully in a free format.

They are encouraged to write a full introduction of their website in free format, using illustrations/tables/etc. on 2 to 20+ pages in A4. The introductions should be evaluated highly by other TRIZ experts and Attractive to many TRIZ people. Depending on the different types/roles of websites, there may be suitable ways/contents/structures of such introductions. We now have 9 examples of full site descriptions.

(2) The Value of the World WTSP Catalogs for TRIZ leaders/experts/practitioners is that the Catalogs provide an overview of the entire range of TRIZ-related websites in the world. They can quickly look for good and new websites, understand the development/progress of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ, and study new approaches and methods through the websites.

Such Values have to be prepared beforehand by properly collecting/evaluating/selecting/categorizing/presenting good websites in the world. In order to enjoy Values, of course, someone has to create them. Such preparation work can only be done with the cooperation of many TRIZ leaders/experts/practitioners over the world.

We have already built the framework of World WTSP Catalogs, such as Standard Form of Site Description, Evaluation Criteria, Categorization Method, Structure of Catalogs, Process of Building Catalogs, etc.

(3) The Values for TRIZ practitioners/users/learners are the useful source of information about good websites and their contents for learning/studying TRIZ and Around-TRIZ.

Such people are initially interested in websites that are easy to learn and apply TRIZ methods, that are written in their own language, and that are active in their own country. Then some advanced practitioners/users go on to read/use the World WTSP Catalogs, mostly at the levels of ◎○.

This means that we need Country WTSP Catalogs in each country, written in different languages, in addition to the World WTSP Catalogs (written in English) for global use.  TRIZ leaders/experts/practitioners in the country should make such Country WTSP Catalogs, which contain the websites at the levels of ◎○□△ and active in the country.  An example is made in Japan in the pilot project (Mar. 2018). (Note that the Manuscripts of Country Part of World WTSP Catalogs ask to include the sites at the levels ◎○□.)

Full introductions of excellent websites (◎○) should be written Attractive for TRIZ practitioners/users in different countries.

(4) The Value of the World WTSP Catalogs for TRIZ itself is that the progress of TRIZ in all aspects, e.g. methods, applications, activities, dissemination, etc., is clearly shown.

In this way, TRIZ becomes visible in the broad fields of creativity and innovation. This has the effects of stimulating the integral use of TRIZ with different methods and improving the methods of creativity and innovation.

We should also note an intangible Value of the WTSP project: If we overcome the current obstacle, we will get the important keys for international and interdisciplinary cooperation in and around the TRIZ community in the world.

Appeal:  Let's create the Values of the World WTSP Catalogs!  It is the task of us, the TRIZ leaders/experts/practitioners in the world. We should make the Catalogs Useful and Attractive. The WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ are the pioneers of Catalogs of Websites in any specific field.

Our Plan:   Please submit your Manuscripts of Country Part of World WTSP Catalogs by Apr. 16, then we will submit our WTSP paper to ETRIA TFC2023 by Apr. 23.

Please submit Full Site Introductions of your own website by Jun. 10, then we will send our final paper to TFC2023 by Jun. 30.

Let's work Together ! Connected !! to make the World WTSP Catalogs Useful and Attractive !!!

TN  ==> TRIZ Colleagues and WTSP Members     [WTSP] Letter (33M-6)    Apr. 6, 2023

I have updated the WTSP Forum page in my website on Apr. 4.
And I have just posted a new article on LinkedIn:
"Values of the World WTSP Catalogs: for Site Owners, for TRIZ Experts, for TRIZ Users, and for TRIZ.
-- Who then Creates the Values?"
Top figure and the PDF file of this posting are attached here.
We hope that the Goals and Values of the World WTSP Catalogs are convincing to you.
Hoping to cooperate with you, Best wishes, Toru

    Preliminary Manuscripts of Taiwan

  Ming-Hung Sung (Taiwan) ==>  TN           Apr. 10, 2023

I have sent you the initial draft of the World WTSP Catalog (TW Part) Index in both Word and PDF formats.   [Index Table with 9 TRIZ Websites in Taiwan.]

Thanks!    Sincere yours,    Dr.Sung

TN  ==> Ming-Hung Sung       CC: Daniel Sheu    Apr. 10, 2023

Thank you for the Index table of Taiwan Part of World WTSP Catalogs.
Since your Word file is difficult to read, I converted it into an Excel file, as attached here.

Please allow me to make some comments:

(1) Please use my draft shown in the web page (Mar. 26,2023) for the top three websites in Taiwan.
◎            I-SIM (International Society of Innovation Methods )
□←□△    SSI (The Society of Systematic Innovation)
○←○□    IJoSI (International Journal of Systematic Innovation)

(2) Roles of site is an important aspect for classifying websites. We use (main) Role of site for arranging all the sites. Please select (only a few of) Roles of each site according to their priorities for the specific site. See the examples in UK Part, Germany Part, etc.
When you list multiple Roles of a site, please use commas in stead of paragraph marks. You use paragraph marks in a cell of Word Table, then the cell is divided into multiple sub-cells, which cause multiple lines and merged cells in the Excel table. And it prohibits the sorting/rearranging process of the Index table in Excel.

(3) Site name: (Example)
National Chiao Tung University Institutional Repository
==> NYCU (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University): IR (Institutional Repository)
Please evaluate not at the NYCU level but at the IR level, concerning to TRIZ (and to Around-TRIZ).

(4) We are looking forward to your Manuscript, a set of Index table file and Site description file.

Thanking you for your cooperation,        Best wishes, Toru

  Ming-Hung Sung (Taiwan) ==>  TN           Apr. 30, 2023

Please refer to the attached document for the latest progress and advise accordingly.
Best wishes, Dr. Sung

TN  ==> Ming-Hung Sung       CC: Daniel Sheu    Apr. 30, 2023

Thank you for your documents and for your efforts to make the Taiwan Part of the World WTSP Catalogs.

(1) Concerning to the first 3 Websites, please communicate with Prof. D. Sheu, as the site owner of them.
When you use an excerpt from "About us" (or any other) page of the website, please write "About us: " at the front of the excerpts. If you write introduction in your own words, please write as "[Note (M.H. Sung, Apr. 30, 2023): ".
Please incorporate some of my Notes on these 3 websites because they include some important information that users want to know.

(2) Thank you for the summary table containing many websites.
Please delete the sites at the 'ー' level.
Please divide the table into two, one for the ◎○□ levels and the other for the △ level. At moment we would like to concentrate our effort to the ◎○□ levels.
I quickly read your own website and evaluated it as □. Probably you may evaluate some more website as □.
For the ◎○□ level sites, please make the Index table in more detail, including Roles of site, etc.

(3) Please make the Site description file (Sites-TW.html) containing the ◎○□ levels.
The information you included in the Standard Site Description Form (b)(one page table) may be used in the form of Brief introduction (a). Ask the site owners to fill out the Standard Form (b). You do not need to include (b), if the site owner does not submit it to you.

(4) Information of the △ level sites will be shown as a part of manuscript to the Catalogs, but will not be included in the World WTSP Catalogs (◎○□).

Thank you so much for your cooperation,      Best wishes, Toru

To Enhance the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Websites in the World

  TN ==>  LinkedIn        Apr. 27, 2023             ==> PDF

Please Help to Enhance the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Websites in the World: Many Good Websites Are Still Missing in the Catalogs

We have just submitted our (draft) paper "WTSP Report (6)" to the ETRIA TFC2023 (to be held on Sept. 12-14, 2023).

Abstract:  This is the sixth annual report of WTSP (World TRIZ-related Sites Project).

We have already built the World Catalogs of Around-TRIZ (i.e., Creative Problem-Solving Methods in general around TRIZ) Websites (with 419 sites) by September 2022.

But the World Catalogs of TRIZ Websites was made with only 62 Websites at that time, due to the lack of voluntary cooperation in many countries.

Our difficulty is: "Many TRIZ colleagues support the WTSP Project, but very few of them actually work to build the World WTSP Catalogs".  The obvious reason is: "The talented people in TRIZ are always too busy in their business to do extra voluntary work".

In order to overcome the difficulties, we have made many different efforts to clarify our visions, build framework structures, show examples, send letters, publish results, etc. for 5 years and this year 2023.

We now understand that the core of the hidden reasons is: "People do not yet recognize the (possible) Values ("Useful and Attractive") of the World WTSP Catalogs because they have not yet really seen the Catalogs".

Therefore the present paper is dedicated to "explain the possible Values by showing the structures and examples and to convince people that we, the TRIZ experts in different countries, should create the Values and that such a Value creation is achievable with the procedure already demonstrated".

The paper summarizes the actual/targeted situations in 58 countries of the world for the preparation of the Gamma Edition of the World WTSP Catalogs.

-------------

The top figure shows the Most Important (◎) TRIZ Websites in our World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites, at the present tentative stage.

In the Beta Edition (2020) we had 23 ◎ sites, and we now add the 6 ◎ sites shown with stars

However, several (about 10?) more excellent sites are still missing from the Catalogs. We hope that they will be raised by countries active in TRIZ, e.g., France, Italy, Taiwan, Korea, etc.  Please form a WTSP Team in each country and contribute the manuscript of your country's part of the World WTSP Catalogs.

Introductions of individual Websites (especially at ◎ and ○ levels) are highly desirable. Website owners can best present their Website.

WTSP Teams in each country and site owners of the individual sites together can make the Catalogs "Useful and Attractive". That's the creation of "Values" of the World WTSP Catalogs. Such Values we all seek and promote to serve many people in the world besides ourselves. We sincerely wish for your help.

TN ==>  TRIZ Colleagues and WTSP Members    [WTSP] Letter (34M-1)       Apr. 29, 2023

We have submitted our (draft) paper "WTSP Report (6)" to the ETRIA TFC2023 (to be held on Sept. 12-14, 2023).
Abstract is:   (snips)

And I have posted a new article on LinkedIn, and re-posted it on my website together with some other communications. "Please Help to Enhance the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Websites in the World: Many Good Websites Are Still Missing in the Catalogs"     [See the above post.]

We would like your help to make t he World Catalogs of TRIZ Sites more "Useful and Attractive".

Update of the TRIZ Websites Catalog in Malaysia:  Activities of MY-01 ◎ MyTRIZ

Eng Hoo Tan (Malaysia) ==>  TN      CC: TS Yeoh (Malaysia)     Apr. 25, 2023

Sorry for the long delay. Happy to share that the evaluated key websites are enclosed for the WTSP catalog.

      [Index Table of 18 TRIZ Websites in Malaysia.   1 ◎, 0 ○, 4□, and 13△ Websites]

Here's a write-up on the Malaysia TRIZ progress:

Malaysia TRIZ Innovation Association idea was mooted in 2009 by an industry player, an academic official and a government agency. The Association was officially established in March 2011 and joined the International TRIZ Association in November 2011.

With various support from global and regional TRIZ experts in its early days, the community has since progressed to share TRIZ with more than 15,000 practitioners in the South East Asia region. TRIZ continues to be promoted, taught and applied in industry, university and school. Thanks to the passionate community, TRIZ was promoted, taught and applied in industries, universities and schools. The knowledge was even compared, and researched with Borneo natives' tribal knowledge.

The Association was recognized as a leading ASEAN social enterprise initiative for the contributions.

I have also enclosed the MyTRIZ Annual Report 2022/2023 for your reference.

Thanks for your support and it has since made superb progress to share TRIZ.

Do keep in touch and stay healthy.    Very best, Eng Hoo

TN ==> Eng Hoo Tan     CC: TS Yeoh       Apr. 29, 2023

Thank you vey much for the update of the Index of TRIZ sites in Malaysia.
I worked to reflect your update into the Index-MY.html file in our published WTSP Catalogs.

The MyTRIZ Annual Report 2022 is exciting.   I have revised the SiteIntro-MY-01-MyTRIZ.html page to incorporate the Annual Report as a new section of your full site introduction.   Your activities shown in Slide #3 are of much interest to me.  MyTRIZ is the world-best TRIZ association that has organized and achieved the activities to spread TRIZ in the broad aspects in the nation/region wide.  Congratulations !!  Please allow me to introduce MyTRIZ in my next article to be posted on LinkedIn.

Best wishes, Toru

Dear Humberto,   Thank you for your message with brief introductions of two websites in Mexico.
I suppose you are (close to) the site owners of these websites.

Could you please write the introductions of them in the WTSP Standard Form (one page in A4)?
Please show your activities, achievements, methods you have developed and often used, state of proliferation of TRIZ in Mexico (and in Latin America), etc.

TRIZ users in other countries want to learn from your experiences. Sharing experiences and knowledge among users in various countries helps much the wider and deeper understanding of TRIZ and how to apply it in their own jobs.

Thanking you for your collaboration,       Best wishes, Toru

    Communications/discussions/publicizing the Case of Korea

TN  ==>  Min-Gyu Lee (Korea)   CC: TRIZ colleagues in Korea     Mar. 15, 2023

Dear Min-Gyu Lee and TRIZ colleagues in Korea,    How are you?

(1) I have posted the email communications from you (Feb. 19) and my reply (Feb. 20) on my website "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" yesterday .

You wrote about the situations in Korea, saying the feedbacks and contributions from TRIZ colleagues are not active enough, and you described/discussed various reasons.
Such situations and difficulties are common in many countries and for many years from the beginning of the WTSP Project, unfortunately.

It is remarkable that you wrote:

"While we were trying to develop the Korean Catalog of WTSP, we realized that there are some issues in the Korean TRIZ society and its presence in the web.
We do not share TRIZ related information enough and we are losing some of old but good information and people."

We realize the same not only in Korea but in alomost all the countries in the world.
In this sense, I dared to post your email and my reply on my website.

(2) For overcoming these difficulties, we should make our WTSP visions clear
and have as many people as possible who understand/support WTSP and use the WTSP Catalogs,
and then obtain pioneering leaders/colleagues who work to contribute manuscripts and build the WTSP Catalogs.
We thank you and your colleagues in Korea for your pioneering work for the WTSP project.

(3) At the top page of "TRIZ Home Page in Japan", I wrote a brief introduction to the communication page (1). Writing the brief introduction was difficult for me.
I am going to write a short article to post on LinkedIn. It will be a harder job for me.

(4) Reading your Version 0.7 again, I now have a suggestion.

You have 20 websites evaluated as □. I suppose several (from 5 to 10) of them may be evaluated as ○ Important sites (next about 100 sites) in the World WTSP Catalogs.

Please check our WTSP Evaluation Criteira again.
Principal Criteria for evaluation may be stated qualitatively as:
Quality (reliable, correct, novel, original, comprehensive, up-to-date, ...)
Usefulness (resourceful, reference, handy, practical, ...)
     Attractiveness (interesting, easy-to-understand, illustrative, ...)
Accessibility (open access, free/low charge, used by many, ...)
Scope (scope of the theme/field, scope of activities, ...)

We do not expect websites of perfect/all-round evaluation on these criteria.
Some sites are strong in the methods (unique, effective, etc.), some other sites are strong in their attractive articles of case studies (easy-to-understand, practical, etc.), ...

Please recommend various websites more positively and show them to the people in other countries that they are worthy of learning.
Nobody other than you, TRIZ colleagues in Korea, are capable to evaluate Korean language websites for the WTSP project.

Thanking you for your collaboration,     Best wishes, Toru

WTSP Activities in Korea: Great achievement with TRIZ, but NOT so many great open TRIZ sites in Korea. (V 0.7) (Min-Gyu Lee). -- Why? What to do?

We all know that South Korea has achieved great success in their business and economy for these two decades by introducing and applying TRIZ in big companies, in cooperation with universities, consultants, government programs, etc.

Min-Gyu Lee, an active TRIZ consultant in Korea, sent me a month ago a draft (Version 0.7) of Korea Part of the World WTSP Catalogs. His email communication and my reply are posted on "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" . Here I summarize the communications, for asking your attention and collaboration.

M.G. Lee writes: "The Korean TRIZ society is remarkably positive in the fastest growth of training/certifications in the world, the most active use of TRIZ in industry, more systematic methodology and coaching, and the 10-year-old TRIZ-assisted Government program to help product-innovation of SMEs, etc.

I made Version 0.5 of Korea WTSP Catalog last October and sent it to other (over a dozen) TRIZ colleagues in Korea. But the feedback and contributions from them were not active enough. (I updated the draft into Version 0.7 recently for myself.)   I guess the reasons for these low responses are:

Many of them understand the purpose of WTSP, but they are busy.

We find that there are NOT so many great TRIZ-related sites in Korea. The big companies keep their TRIZ methods/applications/activities in their intranet and do not make them open. TRIZ experts in universities and consulting firms are forbidden to disclose their work done for the help/cooperation of industries.

Some of the first generations of Korean TRIZ experts have left or reduced their activities; some early TRIZ communities (bulletin boards, cafe/forum, etc.) which had rich contents have reduced/stopped their activities.

There are more than 1000 pieces of Korean literature on TRIZ; the academic part is mostly shared, but other parts are not.

Papers/presentations at Korean TRIZ conferences are not open to the public;

.... etc."

M.G. Lee writes finally:

"While we were trying to develop the Korean Catalog of WTSP, we realized that there are some issues in the Korean TRIZ society and its presence in the web:

We do not share TRIZ-related information enough, and we are losing some of old but good information and people. "

I (TN) think that this is more or less the same situation in many countries of the world. So I replied:

" ... Nevertheless, industry management sometimes gives talks, researchers present/publish their work in conferences/journals, and consultants show case studies. So we should collect the websites that contain such information. Openness is one of our WTSP criteria for evaluating websites.

Many people over the world want to learn from your success with TRIZ in Korea. Please make Korea Part of the WTSP Catalogs "Useful and Attractive" for people in Korea, for people over the world, and for yourselves. "

I wish many TRIZ leaders/colleagues/users to understand the value of the World WTSP Catalogs, to read/use the WTSP Catalogs, and (by overcoming various difficulties) to contribute/work for making the World WTSP Catalogs "Useful and Attractive".

I believe this is the steady and practical way to a genuine solution.

[WTSP] Letter (33C-3XX) XXCountry Part of World WTSP Catalogs -- Call for Contributions -- Ref. WTSP Activities in Korea         Mar. 16-18, 2023

Dear TRIZ leaders/colleagues in XXCountry,
Hello, how are you? How is the WTSP activity coming in your country?

On Feb. 19, I got a report of WTSP Activites in Korea from Min-Gyu Lee and replied next day. I posted these communications on our WTSP Forum page of "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" on Mar. 14.
The communications discuss some serious/common issues of TRIZ-related information. So I posted a brief article on LinkedIn (especially in the 'TRIZ and Innovation' Group) on Mar. 15.
Please see its Top Figure first in .gif attached here , and then the text in .pdf attached here also .

In short, Min-Gyu Lee has compiled Korea Part of World WTSP TRIZ Catalogs, and his team finds "there are NOT so many great TRIZ sites in Korea".
This is strange and contradictory against the fact that Korea achieved a great success in its businesses/economy with active introduction of TRIZ. He describes various background situations which cause such unexpected results of TRIZ websites.
He finally remarks that "we (the Korean TRIZ society) do not share TRIZ-related information enough, and we are losing some of old but good information and people."

The whole situations are more or less the same in many countries in the world, I think.
Why? and What to do? -- We have to consider seriously.

I replied: " ... In spite of such situations, industry management sometimes gives talks, researchers present/publish their work in conferences/journals, and consultants show case studies.
So we should collect the websites that contain such information (in the WTSP Catalogs)."

I wish you all, TRIZ leaders/colleagues/users, to understand the value of the World WTSP Catalogs, to read/use the WTSP Catalogs, and to contribute/work for making the World WTSP Catalogs "Useful and Attractive".

Looking forward to hearing from you about your thoughts and recent WTSP (and other TRIZ-related) activities in your country (and in relation to your website).
Please contribute a manuscript of your country part of World WTSP Catalogs and an introduction of your own website.

Best wishes, Toru

[WTSP] Letter (33C-3UK) UK Part of World WTSP Catalogs -- Call for Contributions -- Ref. WTSP Activities in Korea         Mar. 18, 2023

Dear TRIZ Leaders/Colleagues in UK,   Hello, how are you?

As you know well, I am working hard to build and improve the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ Sites in the World.

The UK Part of World WTSP Catalogs was made as a sample and posted in the "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" in Mar. 2022.
Many countries (except several) are still inactive in the WTSP activities and not ready for their Country Part of the World WTSP Catalogs, unfortunately.

My present message has two purposes:
    (A) To inform you of my recent messages sent to various countries.
(A1) Call for Contributions to WTSP Catalogs. (early Feb.)
(A2) Information/discussion of WTSP Activities in Korea (Mar. 16-17)
    (B) To ask you to form a WTSP Team of UK, and to update and enhance the current UK Part of
World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.
The current version was made in Mar. 2022 on the basis of my Internet survey and posted on the WTSP sub-site ,
asking you to review and improve/enhance it further.

(B) Please form a WTSP Team of UK, and update and enhance the current UK Part of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.

I made the current version of UK Part and posted on the "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" in Mar. 2022.
The following mail was sent to you in Aug. 2022 for asking you to review and improve it further.    The requests apply exactly today, with some urgency.

[WTSP] Letter (31C-1uk) UK Part of World WTSP Catalogs:   Please check and enhance the manuscript in the WTSP site     Aug. 1, 2022

Dear TRIZ Leaders/Colleagues in UK,    Hello, how are you?

As you may remember, I posted a page of "Manuscripts of WTSP Catalogs of United Kingdom" (Mar. 2, 2022)

As is explained there, the manuscript is based on the Internet surveys of TRIZ in UK, and by visiting the sites one by one introductions of individual sites are written, and then selected sites are listed after evaluation and categorization.
It lists 15 TRIZ sites and 14 Around-TRIZ sites.
It is a good example of a WTSP Country Catalog. Nevertheless, it is a quick result obtained by a surveyor outside the country without knowing much the background situations. Thus there are various points to be enhanced.

We wish you to work together for improving it:

(1) Please review the Manuscript fully.

(2) There can be a number of TRIZ/Around-TRIZ sites missing in the list. e.g., biomimetics.xyz, BioTRIZ, etc. Please add them to the list, with brief introductions and (tentative) evaluation, etc.

(3) Please revise the brief introductions of individual sites. And (ask the site owners to) write full introductions of the sites by filling in the WTSP Standard Form (1 page in A4).

(4) Please revise the Manuscript and submit the result to the WTSP Project Leader (TN).

(5) For any further detail, please refer the explanation in front of the Manuscript and also the Guidelines .

(6) For doing these tasks, please form a voluntary WTSP Team of UK and assign the main coordinator (or the WTSP Country Editor of UK).

For your reference, we have been sending the [WTSP] Letters to the following people in UK.     *** snips ***

Looking forward to hearing from you,       Best wishes, Toru

[WTSP] Letter (33C-3CN) China Part of World WTSP Catalogs -- Call for Contributions -- Ref. WTSP Activities in Korea         Mar. 18, 2023

Dear Professor RunHua Tan and TRIZ Colleagues in China,
Hello, how are you?

As you might know well, I am working hard to build and improve the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ Sites in the World.
I appreciate that you contributed the introductions of good websites in China as early as in Jun. 2019.
Many other countries (except several) are still inactive in the WTSP activities, and I have to spend most of my efforts to encourage and back-up them, thus I have had very littel chances to write to you, to my regret.

My present message has two purposes:
    (A) To inform you of my recent messages sent to various countries.
(A1) Call for Contributions to WTSP Catalogs. (early Feb.)
(A2) Information/discussion of WTSP Activities in Korea (Mar. 16-17)
    (B) To ask you to update and enhance the China Part of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.
Please submit to me your revised manuscript of China Part of World WTSP TRIZ Catalogs
and also new/improved descriptions of individual excellent websites.

(B) Please update and enhance the China Part of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.

We learn that your country is introducing TRIZ and related innovation methodologies very actively and widely for the basis of sciences/technologies/businesses. So we believe you now have many public and private institutions, businesses, groups, researchers, and websites working in these fields, even though we do not have much up-to-date information.
(If you have good overview references on this subject, could you please show them and allow me to post them on my website "TRIZ Home Page in Japan"?)

Please revise/enhance the current China Part of World WTSP Catalogs as much as possible?
We guess you need to have a team of several members for covering many websites having different approaches.
Please add to the list many active and excellent websites established lately.
Please write brief introductions to the website from the viewpoint either from a surveyor or a site owner.
Please encourage the site owners to descrive their sites in the WTSP Standard Form (one page in A4), and, optionally if possible, in more detail in a free format (2 to 20+ pages in A4).

Please follow the instructions written in (A1).
Please submit to me your revised manuscript of China Part of World WTSP TRIZ Catalogs and also new/improved descriptions of individual excellent websites.
You may take time for submitting the manuscript of China Part till Jun. 15, 2023.

Your contributions of up-to-date information will be highly appreciated by the TRIZ community in the world, without mentioning of people in you country.
Thanking you for your collaboration,    Best wishes, Toru

  TN  ==>  TRIZ leaders/colleagues  in USA    Mar. 19, 2023

[WTSP] Letter (33C-3US) USA Part of World WTSP Catalogs -- Call for Contributions -- Ref. WTSP Activities in Korea         Mar. 19, 2023

Dear TRIZ Leaders/Colleagues in USA,   Hello, how are you?

As you might know well, we have been working hard for these 5+ years to build and improve the WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ and Around-TRIZ Sites in the World.

Our basic strategy was bottom-up as:
to form a WTSP Team of voluntary TRIZ colleagues in each country,
to build WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ-related websites of each country, and
finally to integrate them into the World WTSP Catalogs.
This process worked only in 4 countries (Japan, Malaysia, China, and Russian Language region) by 2019.
So I made top-down Internet surveys of TRIZ sites in the World (Case TN2A), and also TRIZ sites located in USA (Case TN2F).

Using these data, we built the Preliminary Edition of World WTSP Catalogs in Oct. 2019, and revised it into the Beta Edition in Nov. 2020.
World WTSP Catalogs of Around-TRIZ Sites are reasonably-well built by the intensive Internet surveys and site introductions by Nakagawa.
WTSP activities in individual countries have been very slow till recently. WTSP Teams are not formed yet in many countries.

This year we urge TRIZ leaders/colleagues in every country to make manuscript of their Country Part of World WTSP TRIZ Site Catalogs and to improve individual site descriptions.

We wish TRIZ leaders/colleagues in USA to revise the USA Part of World WTSP TRIZ Catalogs.
We set our goal to report the Gamma Edition of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites at ETRIA TFC2023, Sept, 12-14, 2023.
The new Edition must be "Useful and Attractive".

My present message has two purposes:
    (A) To inform you of my recent messages sent to various countries.
(A1) Call for Contributions to WTSP Catalogs. (early Feb.)
(A2) Information/discussion of WTSP Activities in Korea (Mar. 16-17)
    (B) To ask you to form a WTSP Team of USA, and to update and enhance
the current USA Part of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.

(B) Please form a WTSP Team of USA, and update and enhance the current USA Part of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites.

I made the current version of USA Part and posted it on the "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" in Jul. 2019 .
In the web page, the process of my survey and site description, and further steps-to-go are written.

Please follow the instructions in (A1) with reference to many samples in the current active World WTSP Catalogs.

Here are some specific suggestions for you in USA:

(a) First, look at the current state of USA Part (or Case TN2F) , and check if your own website and some more sites you would recommend are listed and introduced properly. You should better compare them with other sites in other countries where many sites are listed well and the site introductions are written carefully.

(b) Get several (up to 20?) volunteers who find the weak points of the current WTSP Catalogs and are willing to work to improve the WTSP Catalogs.

(c) Assign or volunteer to be the coordinators of such people. Multiple coordinators (i.e., WTSP Country Editors of USA) may be necessary, I suppose.
Anyone who becomes a WTSP Country Editor should submit the WTSP Membership Application Form  to the WTSP Project Leader (TN).

(d) Any recommendor or site owner may send brief introductions of the site(s) to the WTSP Team.
Site owners should write the introduction of his/her own site in the WTSP Standard Form (1 page in A4) .
Please learn various codes for categorization  and describe the introduction faithfully and attractively.

(e) Evaluation of individual sites is a delicate job.   Please learn the WTSP Evaluation Criteria and compare the site with various other sites in the WTSP Catalogs.
If a site owner wants to have the site evaluated high, he/she should write the site introduction properly.
A close description of the site in the additional free-format style may be a good idea.

(f) Due date:
Apr. 16, 2023:   Revised Manuscript of the USA Part of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites
Jun. 10, 2023:  Site descriptions of individual sites

For your reference, we have been sending the [WTSP] Letters to the following people in USA. *** snips ***

You may forward this email to any TRIZ colleagues in USA who might be interested in.
Please contact with me on any questions/comments, etc.

Looking forward to hearing from you,        Best wishes, Toru

Invitation to Build and Revise each Country Part of World WTSP Catalogs of TRIZ Sites. Build the Gamma Edition (Sept. 2023) "Useful and Attractive"

We sent the [WTSP] Letter (33C-3) to 33 countries individually to invite the TRIZ leaders/colleagues in each country to contribute their manuscripts to the World WTSP Catalogs.

25 Countries shown with yellow circles in the top figure do not have the Country Catalog (or a list of selected websites, with brief introductions, evaluations, and categorizations of each website) yet.

We invite TRIZ leaders/colleagues to form a WTSP Team and to visit several tens of websites (already) detected by Internet surveys. Since Internet survey results are messy (noisy and missing), we should visit the websites one by one to select good ones and show them in a standard arrangement with the evaluation and categorization of the website, together with a brief or standard form of introductions.

Many TRIZ-active countries are in this group, we note. They include France, Italy, Netherlands, Taiwan, Korea, etc.

8 Countries shown with pink circles in the figure, on the other hand, already have preliminary versions of Country Catalogs, and we ask their TRIZ leaders/colleagues to update and revise/improve them further.

In the case of USA, Nakagawa made an Internet survey and made a preliminary version of USA Country Catalogs (Jul. 2019), but for their websites (evaluated as □) the brief site introductions are not shown yet.

For UK and Germany, Nakagawa processed the Internet-survey results and made Country Catalogs (Mar., Dec. 2022) for showing as samples. Review and further revision are desirable.

Malaysia and China contributed their Country Catalogs in Aug. 2019. They need to be updated and enhanced, especially to reflect the recent active promotion of TRIZ in China.

For the countries in Russian Language Region (especially Russia and Belarus), Michael Orloff worked intensively to make their Country Catalogs (Aug. 2019). These are a rich collection of websites in the TRIZ-mother countries; we expect further annotation and enhancement.  (He and I are preparing the [WTSP] Letter to be sent in a couple of days.)

For Japan I made the full Country Catalogs in a pilot project (Apr. 2018); we need to update them for reflecting the progress of these 5 years. I am asking the Japan TRIZ Society to do the job.

"Country Catalogs" in the above-mentioned sense (i.e., lists of selected websites arranged, categorized, evaluated, and briefly introduced) are "Useful" but NOT "Attractive" yet.

For a Catalog to be "Attractive", individual items (i.e. websites) need to be introduced "Attractively" (of course faithfully without exaggeration). Purposes (or Roles) of the site, strong/unique/novel points of methods, applicability/effectiveness/easiness of application, results & achievements, etc. should be explained in a way easy to understand by using illustrations/photos/tables, etc.

Such introductions can be written in the WTSP Standard Form (one page in A4) at the basic level, but more attractively and convincingly only in a free format (2 to 20+ pages in A4). They should impress the readers/users: 'This site is amazing; novel in the methods; wonderful results in the application cases; I want to visit and learn this website!!'.

Such introductions can be written only by the site owners themselves (not surveyors). Writing such Attractive introductions in full length is a big advantage for site owners, and also serves many readers/users of the World WTSP Catalogs. Please look at various examples of good introductions of websites in the World WTSP Catalogs.

We wish all countries, even if the [WTSP] Letter was not sent this time, to contribute to the New Edition of the World WTSP Catalogs.

The due dates are:
Apr. 16, 2023 for the manuscripts of Country Catalogs of TRIZ Sites, and
Jun. 10, 2023 for site owners' descriptions of their sites.

Thank you for your message.
(1) WTSP Team of Canada is not formed yet. Will you recommend somebody as a coordinator and encourage him/her to organize a Team?

(2) Thank you for your note of "TRIZ-Research Journal".
You should introduce your website by filling out the WTSP Standard Form of Site Introduction (one page in A4), and further write a thorough description of your site in a free format (of 2 to 20 pages in A4).
Send your site introductions to the WTSP Coordinator (or WTSP Country Editor) of Canada. And you may also send the introductions directly to me if you write the both documents mentioned above.

Anatoly Agulyansky (Israel) ==> TN      Mar. 17

Hi Toru, Many thanks for your email. I like your email and all you said.

Please let me add something. I am not a TRIZ Master; I have got to L3 only, but I studied TRIZ as I studied chemistry, physics, and math in university. Besides, I use TRIZ thinking everywhere.

TRIZ in Intel was very popular. Even people that did not know how to create a functional model tried to do it, and they were very successful with the results. But it was excellent, and people spontaneously got to TRIZ and started to ask about learning TRIZ. The main reason for the high interest in TRIZ in Intel was the software TechOptimizer.

One day the TechOptimizer disappeared, GoldFire could not replace TechOPtimizer, and TRIZ started to leave Intel. I think I was the last TRIZ trainer and an actual user of TRIZ.

People need software. We have nothing to do with that. If we want people to use TRIZ, we need to supply them with the relevant software.

I retired from Intel about two years ago, and together with my son Alex (he is in CC) started to create a platform for using TRIZ and other creative thinking tools. I am sure that in the current situation, only clever software can make people use and benefit from TRIZ. We already have a very valuable product, integrating project management and 11 tools, people like it, try to use our product, and ask for training. TRIZ guys (including masters) are silent.

I propose you invest some time, visit our website, try the platform, and maybe start using it as the center for the cooperation of TRIZ guys.
Please feel free to call me.
Anatoly

Thank you very much for your valuable, interesting message.

(1) Please allow me to post your message on the WTSP Forum page of "TRIZ Home Page in Japan".    If you want to revise your message slightly for public posting, please do so.

(2) I know Israel has many excellent and active people working/using in the field of TRIZ and in different apporaches. So we wish such people gather together to form a WTSP Team of Israel, by accepting divergence of their approaches. We wish some people to volunteer to be the coordinator(s) to form the Team (i.e., WTSP Country Editor(s)).
Most TRIZ leaders/colleagues are too busy for their current jobs to work extra for WTSP, unfortunately. You say you have retired Intel about two years ago and start working on your own way. May I ask you to volunteer to be (the first one of) the coordinator(s)? It is nice you are retired from a company but still active in developing something new and useful in your own way.
It is not a matter whether you are a TRIZ Master or not, I think. It is important for a WTSP coordinator to have good understanding of creative problem-solving methodologies including TRIZ and capability of actually using TRIZ (and some others), and to be fair and open-minded to accept various methods/approaches with scientific and also practical points of view, I think.

(3) Concerning to your website, please write the site introductions in the WTSP Standard Form (one page in A4) and also (optionally) in a free format (2 to 20+ pages in A4). Submit them to the WTSP Team (of Israel) for mutual review. And you may submit them to me directly, if you write the both documents. (It may be reasonable to submit them, after you complete your website with your methods.)

By the way, I prefer emails to LinkedIn messages, for easier handling of many communications.
Thanking you for your message and for your consideration,     Best wishes, Toru

Anatoly Agulyansky ==> TN      Mar. 18

(1) - Sure. I think it is OK.

(2) - Right, I retired and doing what I like: developing the PRIZ innovation Platform, teaching at Ben Gurion University (created a new course, "Engineering thinking."), consulting company and conducting lectures on chemistry, microelectronics, and problem solving. Nevertheless, I can try to find some time for WTSP, but I need to understand the details.

(3) - We will prepare the necessary documents, but additional information is needed. I would be glad if we could arrange a brief chat (Zoom, Teams...)   If yes, please let me know when you are available.
Thank you,    Anatoly

Anatoly Agulyansky ==> TN      Mar. 20

Attached are two documents about PRIZ Guru that we prepared according to your requirements. Please let me know if any additional information is needed.

TN ==> Anatoly and Alex Agulyansky    CC: TRIZ Colleagues in Israel    Mar. 20

Thank you for your submitting two files of your site introductions.
I read them through, and quickly visited your PRIZ.guru website and watched your one-hour introductory Webinar with interest. Following are my overall comments:

(1) Please use the WTSP Standard Form for site introduction, without deleting the top and bottom parts. Exceeding 1 page is OK.

(2) Since you say your website is located in USA, we will list your site in the USA Part. It is still nice that Anatoly would serve as a WTSP coordinator in Israel.

(3) Please write Roles of your site in the order of your priority.
I guess: (e10) Software/Tool services (free or charged), (e5) Training organizations, (g3) Knowledge sharing,

(4) Evaluation: ◎ Most immportant (top about 30) seems too high; ○ or ○□ (next about 100) may be reasonable in comparison wih many others.

(5) Please write the 'close site introduction' (in free format) more "Useful and Attractive". Don't try to list up all the details, but show the essence and strong points of your site using some figures and brief examples, etc.
The 11 tools for creative problem solving are included in your software, but not your original/improved tools. So it is not necessary to explain them in detail, but please explain your intention for what purpose you included them.

(6) Please mention what parts in your website are accesible freely or with charge.

(7) I am going to post my emails sent to various countries on the WTSP Forum page in "TRIZ Home Page in Japan" in a few days. The mail sent to TRIZ colleagues in USA may be of interest to you.

Thank you for your site introductions. I will post your revised versions on our WTSP website.
Best wishes, Toru

Joanna Majchrzak (Poland) ==> TN    CC: TRIZ colleagues in Poland    Mar. 18

Dear Professor, Thank you for your e-mail.

In terms of the Website related with TRIZ and created by the representatives of Polish TRIZ practitioners, I think that nothing have changed since 2021, i.e., the attached list on recommended sites in 2021.

What kind of issues I have in mind right now:

First, promote - maybe through some research and publication - the main idea of WTSP Catalogs, i.e., what is the difference between the high quality, created and evaluated by the experts database, and the other sources of information. To indicate the significance of the difference, e.g., access to sources recommended by people (not randomly selected) involved in WTSP concept.

Second, the first step is planned to do with cooperation with the other people interested in TRIZ and WTSP - so if I will find some coauthors that will create small team and give the opportunity for further engagement in WTSP related issues, here in Poland.

That is only plan for now, but already, thank to this response, articulated.
Thank you Professor once again for your e-mail.
Best Regards, Joanna Majchrzak.

TN ==> Joanna Majchrzak     CC: TRIZ colleagues in Poland    Mar. 18

Thank you, Joanna, for your message.

I checked our communications, especially those in May 2021, and the web page of "Manuscript of TRIZ Sites in Poland" in the WTSP site.

(1) I wonder about the websites of ETRIA TFC2016 at Wroclaw, ETRIA TFC2022 at Warsaw, and any other official TRIZ conferences held in Poland. Please add them if they are still available for open access.

(2) Are there any official repository of papers at national or university levels?

(3) Could you please brush up and finalize your manuscript into the form described in our Guidelines and recent samples?
Please set the Evaluations of websites, in some more positive ways.
Please describe the Roles of site, using the codes and in the order of intention/significance for each website.
Please follow the formats of Index and Site description.

We appreciate your cooperation, especially because such manuscripts will come in from many countries in April certainly much over my handling capacity.
Thanking you for your collaboration, Best wishes, Toru

PS: I added Michael Halas to the address list. Please tell me when you form the WTSP Team of Poland.

Howard Smith (UK) ==> TN      Mar. 18

Hello Toru, We appreciate you keeping us on the communications.

Beta v4 (of Southbeach Modeller software) is now available to selected users. Final documentation is being prepared for the release on Q2. It is stunning. The engine for templating rules for almost any conceivable triz process or matrix is in place. Will be in touch later in year.         Howard Smith

Andrei Seryi (USA) ==> TN    Mar. 25

Dear Toru, I have seen your call revise the catalogs of TRIZ sites.  I would like to suggest to add my site, where I put lectures, link to the 1st edition book, and the link to the 2nd edition book about inventiveness in science and TRIZ that just arrived to Amazon - "How to be inventive in science?"  https://www.unifyingphysics.com/ -
Best regards, Andrei

TN ==> Andrei Seryi          Mar. 25

Thank you for your message via LinkedIn.

Please write your site introduction in three steps
     (a) brief introduction in free format,
     (b) WTSP Standard Form (1 page in A4), and
     (c) full introduction in free format (2 to 20+ pages in A4).
See the references in the Call for Contributions and also many examples in the World WTSP Catalogs.
You are now working in USA. Unfortunately the WTSP Team of USA is not formed yet. But please send your message and drafts to
Isak Bukhman (President of Altshuller Inst.) and Richard Langevin (Executive Director of AI).
Thanks and best wishes, Toru

  Ming-Hung Sung (Taiwan) ==> TN    Mar. 24

Dear Prof. Nakagawa,
You will find the preliminary investigation of nine institutions in attarched files.
The relevance of the remaining websites to TRIZ is not significant. If necessary, I will conduct further investigations.
Sincere yours, Dr.Sung

Attached:  9 files of individual websites in Taiwan, which are written by Sng in the WTSP Standard Form.

TN ==> Ming-Hung Sung, Daniel Sheu         Mar. 26

Thank you very much, Dear Prof. Sung, for your preparing the introductions of nine websites in Taiwan in much detailed form. I am sure you have spent much time and efforts for preparing them.
Please allow me to make some comments and suggestions, even though I have not visited many of the sites yet.

(1) At the present stage, we would like to build the Taiwan Part of World WTSP Catalogs with the descriptions of these 9 websites, without trying to survey for any others.

(2) As for describing introductions to individual sites, we have 4 stages:
        (0) Basic information for indexing.
        (a) brief introduction in free format by a recommender/surveyor.
        (b) Introduction written in the WTSP Standard Form (1 page in A4) by the site owner
        (c) Full introduction written in a separate file in free format (2 to 20+ pages in A4) by the site owner.

(3) You have prepared (b) with much efforts in place of site owners. Such a manuscript is certainly useful. Please show them to the site owners individually (with some notes/refinements which I mention below) and brush them up together with the site owners.

(4) Please make a (web)page which lists all the (nine) websites for overview (or the top page of Taiwan Part of World WTSP Catalogs).
It should have the Index part (in a tabular form of Basic information (0)) and also the Sites description part where the sites are described with the Basic information (0) and Brief introduction (a)). (The Standard site description (b) will be included later individually when they are ready.) Please follow the examples (such as the Germany case).

(5) Even for getting the Basic information (0), various items you wrote in the Standard Form (b) need to be properly chosen/described. In case of multiple choices, please show (only) a few of them in the order of importance for the specific site.
Roles of site: This is important, because we list many (hundreds of) sites according to their categories. We have chosen to categorize all sites according to the Role(s) of site, (next to the categorization by the Evaluation of site).
Single-line description: Please keep this short. You may leave this blank, if difficult to write.

(6) Brief introduction (a):
It is nice if you would write a brief introduction of these sites in your own words as a surveyor (maybe after some excerpts from the site). Your current description in the 'Single-line description' and 'Description of introduction' may be moved here.

(7) Important: Please use Nakagawa's manuscripts shown in the page 'Preliminary Internet Search (4th round) of TRIZ sites in Taiwan' in the start of 'Site description part'. https: ---

*********** !!! ******

Writing my message up to here, I notice an important fact that I showed this manuscript to Daniel, but missed to upload it in my website. See my email to Daniel on Dec. 21, attached below (The mail attached my manuscript. I attach it here again):
I hope this manuscript is helpful for Prof. Sung. Sorry for my failure in not uploading it earlier and not showing it to Prof. Sung earlier.
Any way I will stop writing this email now.          Best wishes, Toru

[Note (TN, Mar. 27, 2023):  TN's draft of (the initial part of) Taiwan Part of World WTSP Catalogs is now posted on the page . ]

I have received your letter. I will make the necessary corrections as soon as possible.
Sincere yours,  Dr.  Sung

EngHoo Tan (Malaysia) ==> TN      CC: T.S. Yeoh      Mar. 21

Dear Dr Toru, Good to hear from you.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the WTSP Catalogue. Will update the Malaysia's web information and revert accordingly.
Cheers, Eng Hoo

EngHoo Tan ==> TN      CC: T.S. Yeoh       Mar. 30

Dear Prof Dr Toru,     Enclosed is the updated information for WTSP from Malaysia.
Thanks for the opportunity to be part of the coordination. Very best, Eng Hoo

TN ==>  EngHoo Tan        CC: T.S. Yeoh       Apr. 1

Thank you very much for your table of 18 TRIZ-related websites in Malaysia. I took a quick look at it and compared with your data currently posted in our World WTSP Catalogs.

(1) Could you show/revise the Evaluation of each website?

(2) Please update the site descriptions of the websites evaluated as ◎○□.    It is nice if you add some more introductions, at the level of (a) Brief introduction by a surveyor. If any site owner writes in (b) WTSP Standard Form, we will be happy to post it.

(3) Would you write a brief overview article of the recent situations and progress of TRIZ in Malaysia? I will post it either on the WTSP Forum page (if short) or on an independent page (if reasonably long).

Thank you so much for your cooperation, Best wishes, Toru
