Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa, May 14, 2019)

This is the trial of the '3rd round' Preliminary Internet Search of TRIZ-related Web sites in a wider scope.  The sites written in English and located in the whold world are surveyed.

As written below, the key words are set as:   Creat*  Think*  Method*   (where * represents the wild card).
In this setting, I inteded it to be like: (Create, Creative) AND (Think, Thinking) AND (Method, Methods, Methodology).
However, seeing the output results, the keywords are interpreted more widely by the Yahoo.Japan search engine as:
(Create, Creative, Make, Build, etc.) AND (Think, Thinking, Thoughts, feel, believe, etc.) AND (Method, Tool, Technique, Way, etc.).
As the result, the Web sites picked up are much relaxed in the scope, and so much 'diluted' in the sense of the theme. Thus we find many Blogs and Social media in the output.

After checking this result, I made a revised search (3A2) with the key words:  Creative  Think  Method.
And the results are much better fit to our intention.  See the separte page (3A2)

In the present page, the process of searching and handling the sites is described first, and then the Web sites obtained with significance are shown in a simple tabular form where the sites are re-arranged according to the importance in our WTSP Catalogs. A .docx file is attached to show some more details of the individual sites.

Preliminary Internet Search (3A) of TRIZ-related Sites in a wider scope with the keywords Creat* Think* Method*

   May 14, 2019,  Toru Nakagawa

The conditions of survey:

(a) Survey Keyword:  Creat* Think* Method*
(b) Language of the sites:  English
(c) Location of the sites:  Not specified (i.e., the whole world)
(d) Searcher's location: Not used (i.e., neutral from Japan)
(e) Search engine:  Yahoo.japan

(f) Option:  Only one representative page is shown for a site, with URL for the search for TRIZ-related pages inside the site
(g) Browser:   Firefox

Results:

117 sites are listed, with 2-3 lines per site.  Recorded in a Word file.
Underlined words have hyperlinks, which are active (at least in my environment)
Note:  URL of option (f) is the hyperlink attached to : このサイト内で検索
Survey again with the keyword  site:[URL of the site domain] and [any search keywords].

Note:  The search seems to be carried out in a much wider or relaxed sense of wording:
E.g.,  Creat* includes ‘make’, 'build', etc.
                   Think* includes ‘thoughts’, ‘feel’, ‘believe’
                   Method* includes ‘way’, ‘ways’, ‘approach’
There is no control of specifying the range of meaning of the keywords.
As the result, the present survey result is so much ’diluted’ in the meaning.

Further working process:

Visit the representative page, and then the top page of the site, and several more pages of the site quickly.

Name of the site and URL of the site are recorded.
--- This record of site title is placed before the page title output by the search engine.

Then the sites are roughly evaluated, with the evaluation symbols:  ◎ ○ □ △-

Evaluated  ◎ :  Most important in the World WTSP Catalog
Evaluated  ○ :  Important in the World WTSP Catalog
Evaluated  □ :  Worthy  in the World WTSP Catalog
Evaluated  △ :  Worthy  in Country WTSP Catalogs
Evaluated  - :  Irrelevant/neglected in the WTSP Catalogs

Note:  There are many Web sites in the fields where I am not so familiar (e.g., social networks, blogs, etc.).
Thus the present evaluation should be regarded rough and tentative.
Especially some sites are marked with , meaning uncertain in the evaluation.

Note:  A number of sites have already appeared and were visited in some earlier surveys (especially of the '2nd round').
They are marked with L (i.e., Listed already elsewhere), without giving close evaluation.
(Duplication of sites in multiple surveys will be handled later in the process of integrating various survey results.)

Then the sites are re-arranged here according to the level of evaluation.

Web sites obtained in the current survey:

Evaluated  ◎ :  1 site                (including  1 site already listed elsewhere)
Evaluated  ○ :  4 sites               (including  2 sites already listed elsewhere)
Evaluated  □ :  15 sites   (including 7 sites with uncertain evaluation (? marks))
Evaluated  △ :  3 sites    (including 2 sites with uncertain evaluation (? marks))
Evaluated  - :  45 sites   (evaluated after visiting the site and checking several pages)
Evaluated  - :  40 sites   (quick evaluation without need to visit the site)  -- Not shown here

Further tasks to be done:

Visit individual sites with ◎ ○ □ △ again and describe its introduction in 5-10 lines.

Need to do further survey with some more strict sense of the keywords ‘Creat*’, ‘Think*’, and ‘Method*’.
==> A new survey has already been done in Survey (3A2)  with the keywords:  Creative, Think, Method

Survey Results: (Simplified for posting in HTML (May 14, 2019, TN))     ==> Detailed working file .docx

68 sites rearranged in the order of their evaluation.  ( 40 sites irrelevant/neglected are omitted in this list. )

Evaluation symbol; Site name;  URL of the site domain;  Number of TRIZ-related pages hit by the Site search

Note:  The record shown below forms a table.  You may select the whole table at once and Copy & Paste it into MS Word or Excel without specifying any particular format.
