Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa, Feb. 4, 2019)

When I posted the Japanese page of ’Letters from Readers (Oct. - Nov., 2018)' on Nov. 21, 2018, I was so busy that I missed to post its corresponding page in English  For the sake of records, I am posting the latter in a slightly simplified form. 
The communication by Dr. Valeri Tsourikov is very valuable; his Keynote Paper presented at TRIZfest2014 has been posted in this Web site both in English and in Japanese translaton.

Dear Professor Nakagawa, It was very nice to meet you in Strasbourg.
Your paper [on WTSP] was very interesting (attached, please find a photo). It's really important, to consolidate all web site in one place, to let people finding info on TRIZ easier.

IM-Phenomenon was our first attempt to generate inventions automatically. It did work, but for a very limited number of functions. In a new project we use combinatorial algorithms and semantics together, thus drastically increasing number of potential inventions to be generated automatically. This time inventions are generated completely automatically. Right now True Machina has idea generation engine and small knowledge base, but it works as planned. After raising working capital we plan to run the engine non-stop, in order to create 1 + billion inventions.

Here I attach my presentation from Strasbourg. I'll send you my lecture from TRIZ fest (Prague, 2014) soon.

Technical creativity, TRIZ, automated inventions are very interesting topics. Your efforts in distributing newest ideas in these areas are very valuable.  I wish you all the success in your project.      Best wishes, Val Tsourikov
